Pet care experience
I was brought up in the midwest where we had a variety of dog breeds from medium to large and learned early how to love and care for animals. Along with walking, feeding, snuggling and playing, I have extensive experience with many common canine behaviors and how to adapt to different energy levels. I also sit for cats and other animals and love getting to know new furry friends. I am happy to learn your pet, it's needs and help to be a human stand in when you are away. :)

Laura was amazing! She was so kind, flexible, and communicative throughout the whole experience of watching our Benny. She kept us up to date on every part of their days together. We had some travel mishaps and Laura was extremely accommodating. Benny had a great time and is hoping he gets to go back soon!
Laura’s the best, I just can’t say enough about her! I just moved to Santa Barbara, and Laura watched my pup, Cardi B., for 18 whole nights until my new dog-friendly apartment was ready. It was the first time I dropped Cardi off for boarding and didn’t leave with a feeling of unease- I knew my baby would be okay with her. Cardi B. can be a bit of a diva, and Laura was always patient and listened to my (many) instructions. She sent me photos and videos every day and I could tell Cardi was having a blast 🥹 I cannot recommend her enough! In fact, Laura’s watching Cardi again this weekend, as I’ll be out of town 😊 I really can’t thank you enough, Laura! It’s always hard leaving my baby, but it is such a relief knowing she’ll be well-taken care of with you! 🤗
Laura is a rockstar!!! My only regret is that my dogs were definitely looking to trade-up from me to Laura, even after I got home... :-)
Laura is such a sweet and caring (and tidy!) pet sitter, I would recommend her to anyone! Also the Polaroids of our pets she left us was such a special touch :)

I need to know how well your dog listens and what they are motivated by. Safety is number one, so I'll make sure I get an entire briefing about your pets likes, behaviors, allergies and the commands that they have learned. I keep all dogs on leash until we have a solid relationship and can trust one another to be off leash in an off-leash designated zone.
A typical day
Love taking dogs to Henry's Beach on or off leash. Girsh Park is nice for the low key and elderly dogs and if yours is high energy and well trained we can go on moderate hikes around town. :)

I work from home during the week and am flexible for walk, play and snuggle schedules. I live next to a large park and love taking beach loving doggos to Hendrys!
