Pet care experience
I'm a huge dog lover, and as a graduate student, I have a great deal of flexibility this summer before my classes start. In addition to personally owning a German Shepherd for 8 years, I previously volunteered at the SPCA shelter in Chittenango, NY. Thus, I have had a great deal of experience working with multiple dog breeds and personalities, and have some experience with training. Laura did a great job looking after Francis for more than a week. Excellent communication before and during our trip, and a very happy cat upon our return. Would definitely recommend.
Laura is truly the best. Our pug Benson is picky about petsitters, and we were a little gun-shy after a negative experience with a previous one. But as soon as Laura walked in our home and greeted Benson, we knew she was perfect. She takes him on long walks, sends us lots of photos, takes wonderful care of our home, and is a delight to talk to. Most importantly, Benson clearly loves her, which eliminates our biggest source of anxiety when we're away. We can't recommend her highly enough--she's absolutely the best person to care for your pet.
Laura stayed with our dog for a weekend and was excellent. She took great care of Henry (including handling his medicine), kept us updated regularly, and kept our apartment very clean. Highly recommended!
We felt comfortable with Laura immediately, and she did a wonderful job with our pug Benson, who can be a bit high-strung. She clearly did a wonderful job caring for him, and sent daily photos from what looked like very fun walks. We'll absolutely be hiring her again and strongly recommend you work with her too.

A typical day
I like to get outside, and do long walks with the dogs at least once a day in addition to shorter bathroom breaks. Having trained a few dogs I also know a bit about keeping younger dogs under control and out of trouble, and would be happy to follow any specific training regimen that the owner is trying to implement.

I’m currently completing coursework and working asynchronously, so have lots of flexibility and time to spend with your pet! I am willing to accommodate most requests, as long as they are communicated ahead of time.
