I have been pet sitting for longer than I can remember. As a child, my family would constantly dog sit and I always took the role of primary care giver during their stay with us. Throughout my teenage years and early adulthood, I maintained many long-standing pet sitting arrangements with more than 8 dogs and 12 cats, most of which I pet-sat several times a year for multiple years each. This has included everything from boarding pets at my home, at-home visits multiple times a day, and both scheduled and last-minute dog walking when owners find themselves unexpectedly late home from work. I’ve taken care of everything from shitzus and chihuahuas to labradoodles and pointers — and many beautiful mix breeds in between! In addition to pet sitting dogs and cats, I have also taken care of fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, rats, a bearded dragon, and even a pot bellied pig! I am also a happy plant parent and would love to water your plants while you’re away. Several of my long-term clients have had chronic health problems, so I have experience administering oral medication to both cats and dogs. And, having grown up with an indoor/outdoor cat, I have provided at-home wound care following vet trips and surgeries as needed. I’m new to Rover, but I am certainly not new to the pet sitting world and I would love to get to know your pet!
