Pet care experience
My name is Laura and I am a lifelong animal lover having been surrounded by dogs from a very young age. I am experienced with a wide variety of breeds and sizes, as well as various ages ranging from puppies to elderly dogs. I recently said goodbye to my family pet of 15 years and so I understand the extra care and attention an elderly pup needs. I also have experience in caring for rescue pets with nervous and scared temperaments, making them feel at ease as best as I can! I have a BSc Veterinary Biosciences degree from the University of Glasgow and worked as an animal technician for 3 years. I also gained animal care experience through voluntary work for the Cats Protection League and as a veterinary assistant, caring for sick pets and monitoring behavioural patterns and administering medication when required. My fiance Keith has been helping me with Rover since I set up my profile in December 2022 and he absolutely loves it! He has also grown up surrounded by dogs and now has plenty of experience using Rover and taking care of our Rover clients.

Once again Teddy was very well cared for by Laura and Keith. He loves going to stay over with them and runs in to their house without hesitation so i know he is in very good hands. Laura and Keith were great with Candy. I was very nervous as this is the first time I had left her with anyone and with being an elderly dog I wasn’t sure how she would cope. However, Candy felt content and happy and did brilliant, the updates that Laura had sent kept my mind at rest and let me know that she was doing well, would definitely recommend! :)
Laura and Keith are wonderful and spoilt Sasha rotten with all the toys. We feel she is safe and taken care. Thank you so much 🤗
Laura and Kieth were fantastic with Bowie, gave him all the love, attention and understanding that he needs, he’s a demanding boy, administered meds with no issue and tailored drinks/toilet time with ease, he clearly adored them, great communication throughout his stay and lovely photos too.

A typical day

Availability
Keith and I now both work full-time jobs from Monday to Friday and so we will only be available during weekday evenings (5pm onwards) and we will be available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that the sitter pick-up/drop-off option will only be available outwith our working hours on a weekday and at any time during Saturdays and Sundays.
