Pet care experience
I ADORE dogs. I can’t wait for the day I commit to getting my own but for now, I am the go-to sitter for all of my friend’s pets. I do overnight stays frequently and love going on long walks together. As a caregiver I’m attentive and energetic. I love to dole out pets and attention and make them feel safe in my presence.

Laura is wonderful! My pup is very shy and weary of new people, but quickly warmed up to Laura and was so comfortable!
So fabulous. Bentley loved her!
Laura was prompt and nice and super good to the dogs. Both Hazel and Dax nicely warmed up to her. They were a handful for her but she hung in there and made the best of it. Sorry about the sandals!

Almost every friend in my life has a dog so I am around them often. Although I’m not in a place in my life where I am ready for a full time pet, I am the best sitter because I love to make dogs feel at ease, give them pets and playtime and let them get out their energy. They are the best companions and I just want them to have a good life. Even if I’m only in it for a brief time!

Do they have a history of reactivity and what are their triggers? Do they sleep in your bed? And would this be a non-negotiable? Are there certain kinds of dogs or ages of people they might not respond well to? Any health concerns that I should be aware of?
A typical day
I love to let them sniff and explore their surroundings. Socialize with other dogs if appropriate. I find it’s important behaviorally for them to get out their pent up energy, especially for breeds that are known for needing lots of exercise (such as doodles). I may walk them on the beach or play fetch with them in the back yard. Maybe get a pup cup along the way :)

I’m a graphic designer and I work from home. I have a lot of downtime and want to fill it with something that would be fulfilling and helpful. I can’t think of anything better than Rover for that.
