Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of family dogs (cocker spaniel and terrier rescues!), and currently have an Australian Shepherd puppy named Levi! I've taken Levi to beginner, intermediate, and advanced obedience courses, and helped him earn his AKC Good Citizen award! I am experienced in socializing young dogs to diverse sounds, textures, sights, and people! I am also an athletic and energetic human (IronMan Triathlete!), so I can keep up with high energy pups! I’m punctual and detail-oriented. I’ll make sure to follow your instructions to provide your pup with a fun, comfortable experience. I am happy to go on long (or short!) walks with your pup! I can provide basic training while on walks, if desired. (i.e. sitting at the corner of intersections before crossing the street, heel, "look at me.") I will send photo updates and/or Rover cards so that you can see what your dog is up to. My aim is for you to feel worry-free leaving your fur baby in my care.

We scheduled dog sitting with Laura, twice in the last couple of weeks, it was the first time we left our pup to a stranger, and needless to say we were a little worried. But from day one, Laura's writen and visual communications, picture, videos, put me at ease. I could tell Hiker was well taking care of, He was happy, and completely himself. I also appreciated that Laura went out of her way to respond to his high energy needs. We certainly will call on her again, and we highly recommend her. Thank you Laura.
We are new to Rover, and, last weekend, Laura took care of our pup, Hiker, when we were away. We were worried, to leave him to a stranger for the first time, but after Laura came in, I was quickly reassured, Laura is not only great with dogs, but she is also a good communicator, and my worries disappeared. While we were aea, she commuicated about our dog, and sent pictures and video, I could tell Hiker was himself happy, sweet and a rascal at times. We certainly will continue to work with Laura, if she is available.
We definitely plan on booking with Laura again if we need a house sitter. She was very good with both of our dogs and clearly very knowledgeable on how to take care of them! Our one dog suffered an injury the week before our trip and she was very reassuring that she could take care of our dogs and administer the necessary medication and did a great job of looking after injured pup! She is also very communicative!
Laura is our next door neighbor and our dogs are fast friends! I know Laura as a loving and responsible pet owner. Her dog Levi is well trained and a delight to be around, and Laura takes good care of him.

Safety protocols that I'm comfortable with include: monitoring your dog's health on walks in hot weather, crating pets as requested, and administering oral medications. If your dog is super social, I'm also happy to bring my Australian Shepherd Levi for a play date during your dog walk or house sitting request! (I'll only do this with your approval, of course.) Levi is very friendly and enjoys playing with dogs of all breeds and sizes.

A typical day
I love to walk dogs on local trails, like the Hike and Bike Trail and the Greenbelt! I'm also happy to follow your typical route around the neighborhood. I would prefer to keep your dog on leash (i.e. refrain from visiting dog parks).

Availability
I work part time for Rover because I love pets! (I only go into work in person three times per week, which gives me lots of flexibility to hang out with pups!) I always keep my calendar updated so you can see when I'm available.
