Pet-loving med student

Pet care experience

I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 8 years old. I had my own dog for several years in graduate school (adopted from my brother when he was stationed overseas). We had a few wonderful years of walks, playtime, snuggles, and road trips. As she got older she started having seizures, so I learned to give her her medications. I'm comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes.

Laura was a fantastic dog sitter for Momo! She was very communicative and sent us updates frequently. I also appreciated that she took Momo on many walks and gave her meds on schedule. She made us feel very comfortable to leave a dog with someone new, as we just moved to the area.

Laura has been so great! Very attentive with our dog and a great communicator. She was flexible with us as our booking ended up being last minute. We plan to book with her again in a couple weeks when we leave for another weekend! 10/10 would recommend. Her cats are very friendly, too.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a pet friendly neighborhood, with a beautiful trail just 0.25 miles away. I have two cats who are both great with dogs. I have space for dog beds and a crate if necessary. I have dog food and water dishes that are elevated off the ground about 6 inches. My house has stairs, but I put carpet tread on the wooden stairs to help my older dog with them. I allowed my dog on my couch, but if you prefer to keep your pet off the furniture, that's fine, too!

Information Laura C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog cannot be left unattended for brief amounts of time if we're boarding, or if they need a crate. Please let me know of any special requirements they may have. If your dog has any known stressors or fears (i.e. thunderstorms), that's helpful for me to know so I can help keep them calm and happy on their visit.

A typical day

I leave really close to a beautiful walking trail that passes by a pond. I also live about a mile from another gorgeous trail for dogs who like longer walks or jogs. I'm happy to play with your dog if they have favorite toys. My cat also loves to play with dogs, so he will happily snuggle and keep your pup entertained!
