Pet care experience
Licenced with Wirral Borough Council for day care and boarding. I currently have two dogs and 2 budgies, and I am dedicated to their care and training. Animals fill my life with joy and I am hoping to transition into a career in dog boarding, walking and training to escape the rat race. I have volunteered on local farms over the years with all types of animals and I know my future is to work within nature and with animals, with dogs being my absolute favourite. My current career is working part time as a nurse educator within a local university. I am undertaking my Level 3 OFQUAL recognised certificate in canine behaviour, welfare and legalities, hoping to complete this by mid February 2024, to obtain my home boarding licence.

Laura looked after Archie at very short notice. Laura made everything very easy and kept us updated with photos etc. Archie had a great time and we will definitely use her again if/when needed.
Rex had a great time staying with Laura. Lots of cuddles and fuss but also plenty of activity and mental activity. Great communication - I got loads of great photos, videos and updates. Laura is very knowledgable and experienced. Her love and care for animals is so clear. Thank you!
We had an amazing experience with Laura. Monty not only loved Laura but also got on with her boys, Max & They. She took such good care of Monty and kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout his stay. It gave us so much peace of mind to know that he was happy and being cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate in sending him to stay with Laura again, I think Monty has found his holiday Mum!

I have a securely fenced garden, along with a husky and a border collie who adore playtime. I have a car and would be able to transport your pup for days out. I have plenty of experience of caring for frail dogs, as one of my boys has a spinal injury resulting in paralysis. He is now walking well, but struggles sometimes. I also looked after my childhood family dog until she passed at 17, so I understand the needs of elderly dogs and can accommodate this by moving my dogs into different rooms if your pup needs rest. I am would be happy to walk intact females, however my dogs are not neutered and would likely cause chaos for the poor girl, therefore I can't board.

Please let me know if your dogs have any behavioural issues, or if they aren't fully house trained. I am aware that dogs scent mark, but I'd like to know in advance so that I can fully prepare for the inevitable. Depending on how much cleaning I need to do, may incur an extra fee too. I will happily have all dogs at my house, as long as my 2 pooches are happy, so a lengthy meet and greet would be preferred.
A typical day
I love to practice training skills with dogs and also enjoy going on walkies around the neighbourhood or to the park near me. I am not put off by rain or snow (I own a husky!!) and will get out and about in any weather. I also like to use enrichment games, if it really is dangerously grim outside.. I also love bathing dogs, so if they get too mucky, I would happily bathe and groom them, depending on my confidence with your pet (may incur an extra fee).
