The Dog Lady
Pet care experience
I'm that crazy dog lady. The one with 3 dogs, always rescuing lost dogs around the neighborhood, and even going on weekend getaways with my dog. I have taken care of my dogs from the time I brought my oldest pug home at 10 weeks up to the present. He is now 14. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep them healthy and happy. For example, I have always made my dog food. Also, my pugs are getting old and I gladly carry them wherever they can't get to on their own (up and down the stairs, onto the bed at night, etc.). I feel like I understand dogs so well, I can just tell what they're thinking/feeling. I have had automatic mutual trust with dogs I've only just met.
Reviews
Laura is very nice and Luna loves spending time with her 🐾🐶
Laura was very friendly and kind regarding following up with me on my dog ?
Our dogs seemed to enjoy Laura’s large fenced in yard! We got pictures of the dogs playing outside and cuddled up inside.
Laura did a wonderful job taking care of my dog Zoey! I would recommend her if you ever need someone that you can trust and know that your precious pets will be treated right.

I have 3 friendly dogs (2 pugs and 1 boxer/lab mix). They (and any visiting pets) are welcome to follow me around the house and/or (large, fenced) yard but I also have a gated kitchen for times when they might need to stay separate (I usually do this for my own dogs when my kids are eating so that no food gets stolen). My dogs are part of my family. I don't like to keep them shut away any more than necessary. They are welcome in my bed at night, but due to my elderly dog's changing preferences, the two pugs will sleep together downstairs these days. I don't like being away from them. I enjoy playing chase, fetch, tug-of-war, general rough-housing, or just snuggling with the dogs on the couch.

After several trials, it seems that my kids/dogs and pit bulls don't mix well. I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me know if your dog has any special needs or dietary concerns. I have a dog with food sensitivities so I know how important it is to watch ingredients. I also am familiar with brachycephalic breeds (temperature/breathing concerns), senior dogs (lifting/carrying, deaf/hard-of-hearing, incontinence, bladder expressing, blindness), puppies (puppy-proofing), just about anything. I'm not afraid to reach in and rescue something from a dog's mouth that he shouldn't have. I'm level-headed in an emergency.
A typical day
Dogs are part of my daily life. I will include yours just as I do my own. We can play fetch, they can run around my large fenced-in yard, we can play tug-of-war, just generally rough-house, or snuggle on the couch. My dogs also love to "help" me cook and to supervise my meals/snacks in case I "drop" anything.

I am now sitting on a limited basis only. I am preparing to open a separate business. I also have five kids, so I do have to leave the house to drop them off places every couple of days. Kid-friendly dogs are a must. Senior-dog-friendly is also a must! Unfortunately, my dogs are old and timid and can get severely stressed around high-energy assertive dogs who don't take "no" for an answer. My dogs, unfortunately, are too old to want to play. My boxer-lab mix has shown severe stress symptoms around pit bulls, cane corsos, and any large breed that aggressively wants to make him play. He shivers, vomits profusely, and will not eat. I realize this will limit my options and I apologize for the inconvenience, but I also know we have had a great many well-mannered dogs that can rough-house with me just fine and leave my dogs to their lazy selves. LOL
