Years ago, I realized that working with dogs is one of my true passions in life. I love the way they communicate through their subtle movements and barks. Being a pet sitter allows me to enjoy the experience of making friends and getting to know a dog’s personality. I love watching a four legged playmate come to know that they are happy and safe with me! As a high school teacher who works with students with autism, I know how much individual and unique attention every being needs. Just like my students, no two pups are alike. They all have individualized, often complex needs. I’m always happy to make sure that the pups under my care have those needs met at all times. My experience with dogs covers a few decades, so I’ve come to learn a thing or two about making sure that pups stay happy and healthy at all times. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. Just like in the teaching world, communication is key. It can certainly be very difficult to be away from your best friend, so I’m here to make that time as easy as possible! When your pup is under my care, I’ll always send regular updates with accompanying picture so you can see just how much fun we’re having together. Likewise, updates will be detailed reports on how your pup is doing. I’m also just a phone call or text away if any questions or concerns arise.
