I have cared for dogs since I was five. I believe in establishing a rapport that allows me to clearly communicate my expectations to the animal. I have helped train dogs for others. I believe that you can teach an old dog new tricks, that is, I believe that any dog can be taught to live up to the owner's expectations of behavior. I have also worked with horses and find that many of the strategies and techniques for success regarding behavior modification apply to both animals. I prefer to find ways to implement positive reinforcement to address any challenges with regard to behavior. I believe that routine, consistent temperament and clearly communicated expectations are the key to success with any dog. It is in their nature to want to live up to high expectations.
