Dogs are family & deserve our best.
Pet care experience
I've been a dog lover all of my life. I love big ones, little ones, loud ones, crazy-eyed silly ones, all of them. I believe all dogs deserve love, respect and appropriate attention. Every dog is a little different. The dog you see in my profile was our family dog, Monkey. He recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and I want to share our love with other dogs. All furry family members need exercise, enrichment and understanding. I have training in canine body language and health and safety. However, I want to be clear...I am not here to train your dog. I want to provide love, attention, and exercise while keeping them safe and under low-stress.
Reviews
Larry is great! Dexter was immediately drawn to him and was always excited when I told him that Larry was here to walk him. Larry was on time, always upbeat, friendly and accommodating to Dexters needs and our family’s schedule. He is dependable and came when the weather was very cold and snowing. Larry has a great personality and Dexter and I both enjoyed getting to know him. We will absolutely continue working with Larry.
Larry is a dear friend and I can say, save for my wife, that no human I know loves dogs more than him. He’s a longtime pet owner, so he’s knowledgeable, and is basically like a middle-aged, male Snow White. Dogs just come up to him like he’s some sort of K-9 pied piper. You can’t go wrong hiring Larry. He’s got a heart of gold.
Larry loves dogs. He engages with them and pays close attention to their safety. He is consistently patient and kind. When with his dog, he talked to him and found ways to include him in family events at every possible interval.
Larry has house sat for us on multiple occasions and we would not hesitate to use him in the future. We received daily updates with photos and came home to happy pets who were very well cared for in our absence. Larry is extremely trustworthy, has great attention to detail and truly cares about the wellbeing of our fur babies. Two Paws Up for Larry!

Safety, trust & environment
Our family dog was trained to walk off leash and never leave the yard. We used to live in Brooklyn and I would walk him around the block and he would never leave my side. However, the number 1 priority is the SAFETY and HEALTH of your pup. If you have a fenced-in, SECURE, backyard where you'd like your furry friend to chase a ball, play tug of war, or whatever toys they are into, happy to come to you. All dogs I walk will be on a leash...either with harness or attached to a collar. ***I DO NOT USE CHOKE CHAINS, SHOCK COLLARS, PRONG COLLARS, OR PUNISHMENT TRAINING OF ANY KIND*** If your pup has a puppy friend they love to play with, and you know they get along, we can arrange puppy play dates (after I meet both dogs and feel it is safe). Or, if you doggy gets a little nervous around other dogs, we can make sure to keep him/her away from others during our time. If your dog has a favorite place to walk: Gedney park, whippoorwhill, etc...whatever. I can take them in my car (after discussing safety needs) and walk them on trails, or to an area that makes them happy. Or, if you like, I can take them there for a visit to see if they like it. I will constantly monitor your pup for signs of stress, anxiety or joy and adjust accordingly. You will have updates and photos upon arrival, mid-visit and upon leaving.
Information Larry M. would like to know about your pet
I think it is very important to know of any special needs, allergies, restrictions (off-limits areas of the house, neighborhood, yard, dietary restrictions) for your dog. Also, if your pup likes other people, kids, other dogs..if they like to try and chase smaller animals or are scared of anything in particular (for example: thunder, fireworks, loud trucks, strollers).
A typical day
Some of this depends on the individual dog, of course. If your pup likes to chase a ball and we can do so in a safe environment, awesome....if they have a favorite toy they want to chase, tug, etc...all great. All dogs I walk or visit will have a chance to do some of what they love best: get out and sniff and explore and let the world know they are here. If there are enrichments (treat puzzles, etc) you have in mind, happy to do that.

I am a Chappaqua local. I have lived here over 7 years. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am available to walk or visit your furry friends morning, noon, or night. I do this because I love dogs...and feel they all deserve care and attention...plain and simply. Whether you want to have three walks a day, or have someone drop-in to check on your pup while alone at home, or anywhere in-between...happy to help.
