Pet care experience
I am a lifelong animal person, specializing in dogs. I've lived with and cared for over a dozen dogs of various breeds, sizes, personalities, and needs. I grew up with multiple dogs, a cat, and a rabbit (as big as me!) who followed me around as I learned to crawl. Our family rescued many animals in need; ducks warmed up in our bathtub when they got frozen in the river, and orphaned squirrels ended up running up and down the curtains in our living room. I have adopted multiple rescue dogs over the years, and two of them even ended up on the cover of Bark Magazine! And I would love to help care for yours!

I have known Lara for close to ten years and she is among the most compassionate and responsible people I know. I run a small non-profit animal rescue so compassion and responsibility are pretty important to me. I wouldn't hesitate to have Lara care for my animals and they are a wild and motley bunch. I was a pet-sitter many years ago and know that while things go smoothly 99% of the time, when you are working with animals, you need to be prepared for challenges as well. Lara is good at thinking on her feet and I would feel confident in her ability to manage surprises or emergencies. Lara is a loving person with a kind heart. She will treat your pet like her own!
Lara is great! The way she lights up with animals says a lot. What you can't see is her deep knowledge of animal behavior, communication, and needs, so if anything comes up she knows what to do. Those two things make me trust her infinitely. She's a great decision maker and communicator. Organized, punctual, and reliable.

If your fur baby comes to me, I have a fenced-in backyard (8 foot cedar privacy fence) with locked gates where animals can run and play if you wish them to. I love to give treats and cuddles, and for walks near my own home, I live in a safe, clean, area close to Forest Park.
