Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Lara and my dog Floyd and I love making new friends. I live on Capitol Hill in a condo with a shared, fully fenced backyard (though Floyd and I usually prefer to get out for walks 3-4 times a day). I work from home and I have a flexible schedule, so I'm almost always available for bathroom breaks, cuddles and more. Floyd generally has the run of the house, but I'm happy to enforce your own rules, such as staying off furniture, as you wish. Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover all my life. I can't imagine living in a home without a canine companion! About my yard My building has a large, shared yard out back with brand-new fencing. My own dog, Floyd, is an escape artist so I always keep an eye on dogs when they're in the backyard. I'd be devastated to lose my Floyd so I always err on the side of caution. My experience administering medication It's always a bummer when a pet doesn't feel well, so I'm happy to do whatever is needed to help nurse your best friend back to health. Just let me know what medications to give and when, and I'll make sure it happens.

I honestly think My dog would be fine making Lara his forever mom! He was so chill, easy going when we picked him up. We will always use Lara when we need a sitter.
Lara was awesome! She had treats ready when she first met my nervous pup, Daisy, and immediately put us at ease. She sent us updates on how well Daisy and Floyd we're getting along! Would definitely recommend!
My dog came back after a week with Lara happy and perfectly relaxed- as if he had never gone away. For me, this is the true sign of wonderful rover care!!
Lara was extremely welcoming and has a beautiful home. Margot seemed happy when I dropped her off and picked her up, and she was pleasantly exhausted from spending time with some other pups. I highly recommend Lara and will contact her again!

I love all kinds of dogs. My pup, Floyd, is pretty laidback and is comfortable having furry friends stay with us. He tends to play with dogs around his own size (20lb.) best, but really he gets along with pretty much all breeds and sizes - except Huskies; he was attacked by one last year and still remembers it.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Although we have a fenced yard behind my building, Floyd usually prefers to go for walks. We usually walk around the block 3-4 times a day. My home is in a quiet part of Capitol Hill. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Floyd sleeps in my bedroom. He has his own bed but usually jumps in with me early in the morning. I'm happy to have a smaller dog sleep in the bed with me, but I will always respect your wishes and rules - if your pup prefers to sleep in his kennel or in his own bed, that's fine with me! Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home, so I will generally be around to play, cuddle and care for my guests day and night. If I go out for a meal or to run errands, it will never be for more than a few hours at a time.
