Pet care experience
hello ! my name is lara and I would be honored to care for your pet! I am a baker by day, a vegan, and was once a biochemist. I am looking to find a regular dog to walk weekly, but I am open to the odd walk every now and then. I grew up with beloved dogs and cats, and since I've been living in apartments I haven't been able to get a pet of my own. When I was little, I had a childhood dog that I was worried was getting sad. I did some research and found an article from the web titled "100 Ways To Make Your Dog Happy". I printed it out and posted it on my wall and every day I would do something else, from baking her treats to making her games. I understand that the details matter, and keeping a pet happy that is cooped up inside all day is no easy task. I'd be honored to get to know your pet and I can promise I will care for them like my own.

Lara did a great job watching my two cats while I’m away. She’s very responsive to questions and my many requests for pictures. She even got my shy little guy to ask for her attention!
We were able to relax knowing our dear dog was under Lara’s care. Lara is a great communicator, reliable and followed our care instructions to a tee. She’s also a very warm and friendly person—would love to have her care for our dog in the future.

I have an apartment that I use for overnight sitting. It does not have a backyard, but I also do in home-sitting if that is a requirement for you. My home is secure enough so that pets wouldn't be able to easily escape.

I'd need to know some general personality characteristics for your animal, especially for those I'd be walking. Do they tug at the leash or are they leash trained? Are they sociable with other animals? Do they have any medical conditions I should be aware of? Do they have anything that really frightens them, like sirens or cars? Our first session would allow us some time to go over these things and more, so I can get your pet out on the town with peace of mind!
A typical day
I am lucky to live in proximity to two large parks, Woodland and Ravenna Park These are places I'd love to take your dog to explore. I find it's helpful to bring along your dog's favorite toy, so they can have a piece of home while they are away. Woodland Park even has an enclosed dog park, if your pup is the social type.

Availability
My work schedule is somewhat flexible, so I can work the dog walking into my routine! The best days for me to walk are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday afternoons.
