Pet care experience
I've had dogs and cats as companions throughout my life. Most recently, I had the privilege of sharing my life with a 16-year-old Shih Tzu, who lived a long and fulfilling life before passing away. Currently, I am the proud owner of a lively 13-month-old Australian Shepherd who is actively engaged in agility training. My upbringing was enriched by the presence of a variety of pets, including guinea pigs, a Chinchilla, dogs, cats, hamsters, and parakeets, each of which provided me with wonderful experiences. I've had the pleasure of raising puppies and caring for senior dogs, as well as working with animals facing disabilities and chronic conditions, such as vision impairment and cat leukemia. I'm comfortable administering oral medications, eye drops, and other necessary treatments. My love for animals is all-encompassing, and I firmly believe that each one possesses a unique and beautiful personality.

Lara took great care of our dogs and cats for 5 days. One of our dogs is challenging to deal with, but Lara's so kind and patient with her :) nobody else other than family members could put a harness on her, but Lara earned her trust and did it! I could see our furry kids were comfortable with Lara from the pics she sent us. Thank you so much, Lara! Hope she'll be our regular caretaker:)
Lara's very gentle and kind to our dogs. Today's walk was a warm up for them for the upcoming drop in appointments. Overall it went well. My nervous dog, Riko, was getting better. When Lara was leaving, she went to her with her tail's wiggling and took a treat from her hand. that was already a progress! I'm comfortable leaving my kids with Lara. Thank you, Lara:)
Lara is fantastic! Our pups loved her and enjoyed their walk. The best part is she lives a few blocks away and we are able to count on her for last minute walks. Thanks Lara!! :)

A typical day
I love enrichment activities for dogs and cats. However, it all depends on the cat or dog and their energy level and what they feel like doing. For high energy dogs, I really like sniffing games.

Availability
**Please note** For new dogs, cats, and humans, I like to do a meet and greet first, which means typically at least 2 days advanced notice. I know it can be tough in an emergency where you might need someone ASAP. Usually, once we've met and established a few check-ins, I'm usually able to do last minute requests.** I'm currently working part-time, which allows for more flexibility during the weekday and weekends. I'm not available Tuesday and Thursday evenings (now through end of May 2024). Typically, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are very open during the week. Happy to do a check-in or go on a walk, especially during the midday hours. I also have availability on the weekends. I usually like to do a meet and greet and have at least 1-2 full day's notice before doing a check in and/or a walk.
