I have been taking care of animals for a total of 2 years now. My love for animals is what pushed me into becoming a vet tech for a shelter.

Laquinta has watched my boy Blue many times. He loves her and the great care and added attention she gives. Laquinta is very knowledgeable about dogs and cats and works with them every day. She has a special place in her heart for animals. I trust her with my pets anytime, I know when I come home they will be happy, spoiled and safe.
LaQuinta is the sweetest person I know, with an extraordinary compassion for animals. She has a very kind heart and is passionate about her job at the KC Pet Project! She has watched multiple dogs and cats voluntarily when it is needed through her work. She would be a perfect candidate to sit your dog!
Laquinta is the best! I have four pets, two cats and two dogs. My senior dog hates being boarded; Laquinta has watched her several times and it was so great knowing my dog was happy and well taken care of while I was on vacation. Your pets will be in amazing hands with her!

Being a vet tech I am able to provide what is needed in any situation. I am trained on checking vitals, BG, administering insulin or fluids if needed. As a tech I am also trained on reading an animals body language and respecting that being a stranger in their home. If needed I am able to crate a pet and if that is not what is needed my bed is big enough to share with your fur baby. My goal is to provide a fear free loving and safe environment until you’re home with your babes.

A typical day
I love trails and I am always looking for new ones to walk. I have a dog park at my apartment complex so it’s fun to throw balls and play catch.

I’m full time at a shelter, but having weekends off I am able to be flexible with drop in visits and overnight stays. It also gives me the room to keep a pet over the weekend if needed.
