Pet care experience
For the past 6 years, I’ve worked with animals, specializing in dogs. Dogs are my whole world, so when I got pregnant and took a break from new dogs or bigger jobs, I missed them all so much. My daughter is young, only 2 years old, and she loves to gently pat dogs but mostly stays away from them, since she’s very independent. My new house is very small with little yard space, so I would need to take your dog(s) on walks for potty breaks if they don’t just potty out on the grass. Because I have a 2 year old and don’t have much help with her, I will have to take her with on walks, meaning that I can only take dogs with good leash manners. And I prefer lower energy level dogs because of the lack of space. I have a 7 year old rescue mutt who sleeps all day, she’s very sweet and also very independent. I love brushing dogs coats out. If you have a brush and wouldn’t mind me giving them a little extra loving, I would love to do that for you (: no charge, but please don’t expect me to do a full groom for them for free, especially if things are busy while they’re here. I love to keep my clients updated, and send many pictures and videos throughout their stay. Communication is very important to me, so you’ll never have to worry of they’re doing okay. Lani is amazing to work with and I felt assured I was leaving my dog in great hands. They're super responsive and dilligent about Kona, especially since Kona was nervous about a new place and didn't pee/poop the first day which is normal for her.
Can’t praise Lani’s care highly enough. Our pets had so much fun, and we were so relaxed on vacation knowing they were loved and well taken care of. Lani also picked them up and dropped them off, which was so convenient and and affordable. Will definitely book again—we found our new go-to River sitter!

I spend most of my time lounging with my dog and daughter. I normally worked with senior dogs, so we spend most of our time cuddling up on the couch, but for younger dogs, I like to play with them, seeing if they can sit, shake, etc, and stimulate their minds.

Information Lani N. would like to know about your pet
My biggest concern is how your dog has been around small children. My daughter understands that she must respect a dogs boundaries (not climb on them, hit them, pull their tails/ears) but if a dog generally doesn’t do well with children, then it may not be a good fit. I would also need to know their energy level to be able to give them the play time they require. I prefer moderate or low energy dogs currently. I also prefer dogs that will not potty inside the house.
A typical day
There is a big park near my house we can take a walk to. It is unfortunately leash on, so I would need to keep your dog on a leash while there but it’s plenty of new smells and space to play! I have retractable leashes so they can still run and play, with the safety of me being able to stop them from running away. Other than that, we stay home mostly, due to covid. We are also all fully vaccinated.
