I've loved animals my whole life! I've taken care of my own pets when I was younger, and my friends and family's fur babies. My childhood doggos were great and have recently passed :( I had a dog, Rory, many years ago. She was my first dog I had as an adult. She has passed as well :( so now I am vicariously living through my friends' pets. I take my friends' dogs for hikes or the dog park when they are busy. I pet sit for them when they are out of town and I love them all like they're my children. My friend throws bday parties for her dog and they are seriously one of the best days of the year. I'm the gal at the party talking to the dog or cat, instead of socializing. For the last two years, until now, I lived with four dogs! Two of them were in the basement apartment and I helped take care of Nova, she was 14 and had cancer and couldn't get up the stairs. So she would stay upstairs with me and my roommate. My upstairs roommate's two beans would always be in my room anytime she wasn't sleeping :) They would come cuddle in bed with me in the mornings after their mom went to work. I am their god mom.
