Pet care experience
I grew up in a home full of pets of all shapes and sizes. This experience shaped the man I have become today. Raising animals taught me how to be a more selfless and responsible person. Each animal that touched my life was a gift. Beyond the ones that were a part of the family, all neighborhood dogs and cats were and still are welcome at my home whenever the need arises. I have boarded family and friends' pets countless times over the past thirteen years. Primarily just cats and dogs, but I did care for a friend's turtle once. I was responsible for all walks, meal plans, playtime, and the occasional bath. I have trained four puppies into adulthood and currently own a two-year-old Goldendoodle named Willow.
Reviews
Landon took care of my high-energy, dog-reactive pitt/lab mix for a couple days, the first time she was ever away from me for that long. I could tell from tuning into my Ring camera a couple times that my dog was really happy when he visited, and she seemed pretty happy when I finally got back. Landon also sent some of my new favorite pictures of my dog while I was away, which I really appreciated. I know she isn't always the easiest to deal with (chasing birds, pulling, being distractable and energetic) but he didn't seem to mind. He has experience with reactive dogs and is strong enough to keep a strong dog in check.
Laika had the BEST time! She made herself right at home and I didn’t have to worry for about her at all. She got lots of play time at the park and lots of snuggles! Thank you, Landon!
Landon was absolutely amazing! He sent me updates throughout the day (including pictures) and my puppy came home tired and smiling! Excellent communication helped me to feel at ease when leaving my pup. I’ve used him for both daycare and overnight and there’s no one I’d rather leave my dog with. Very dependable and trustworthy, which keeps me coming back! Thank you, Landon!
Landon was super friendly when meeting up and communicative, giving me full updates about the day. I appreciated how warm and engaged he was with my dog who has a lot of energy and likes to play.

I live in an apartment with my very friendly Goldendoodle. She loves to play with other dogs and meet new people. Although I may not have a yard, there are four dog parks all within walking distance of my place that I visit daily. I believe stimulation is vital to our animals' physical and mental well-being, so I always spend at least 30-60 minutes a day exercising the animals I watch. This could be a trip to the dog park or just a robust game of fetch. Whatever it may be, I tailor each exercise session to the needs and joys of the pet.

Information Landon R. would like to know about your pet
Ideally, I think knowing about the dog's personality traits is wise. Are they energetic or more of a lounger? Do they do well around other dogs? Are they cuddlers or desire more space? Anything that gives me more insight into your dog helps me prepare what activities we will do together.
A typical day
My dog and I walk or drive to the local dog park every morning and evening. We spend at least 30 minutes playing fetch and meeting other dogs before heading home. Additionally, I love going on hikes and walks as well with my pup. Davis and its surrounding area have a plethora of outdoor places to explore like the Arboretum and Putah Creek trails. While indoors I like to play games of hide and seek with my dog's favorite toys. I have her stay in one room while I hide her toy somewhere in the house. When I release her, she races out into the home, looking for her hidden toy.

I currently work remotely part-time and have lots of scheduling flexibility since I set my own hours. Due to this, I have plenty of time throughout the day to fully dedicate to the care of any pet.
