Lana was great! She was very communicative and our pup was clearly having a great time all week. Will definitely be reaching out again.

We left our dog with Lana and her bf while we were in town for a wedding. Our dog is 6.5 years old, mild mannered and has NEVER had an issue with another Rover or dog walker. Admittedly, we adopted her in January, so we’re still learning about her behaviors with people she doesn’t know as well. I made it very clear that our dog has separation anxiety, and would be anxious once we left- but usually, with other dog watchers she settles down after some time. Lana and her bf took her for a walk, and not 30 minutes later, I was told that they let her off the leash and she had run off (presumably, looking for us). My husband went back and missed the wedding in its entirety as he spent the next 7.5 hours anxiously looking for our dog, who she had decided to let off leash. He finally found her after dark, very spooked, on the side of 16th street. We’re so very, very thankful she wasn’t hit by a car. We were appreciative that Lana had helped look and while we were frustrated/confused that she had taken our dog off leash (with zero instruction that that was an okay thing to do), we understand mistakes happen. My husband made a verbal Agreement with her that night that she would refund him the money via venmo, and that there was no need to get Rover involved. After several weeks of trying to get in contact with her to get the repayment (she had a faulty phone, they hadn’t been paid from rover, we’re among the excuses) she became hostile and more or less indicated that it was OUR fault the dog had run off, and that quote “our dog traumatized her.” Again, our dog has had nothing but perfect experiences with the other Rover/boarding stays she’s had. Moral of the story- think twice before you book Lana’s services, and make sure you report any incidents
