Your Fur Baby Is Family!

Pet care experience

👋🏽 I'm Lalita, formerly known as Lauryn. I'm an intuitive animal lover with more than 20 years of experience caring for and rescuing animals. Hablo español. ✅ My experience includes: + Pet-sitting + Dog walking + Wildlife animal rescue + Medicine administration + CPR Training (coming soon) + and, in 2 instances, saving a dog from choking. It would be an honor to have your pet stay with us in our home. Elderly dogs have a special spot in our hearts!. [Please note that I changed my name to Lalita from Lauryn. You will see both names in the testimonials due to that.] 🐶 WE SPECIALIZE IN SENIORS & SMALL DOGS We have a special spot in our hearts for senior pets and understand the care they need. We understand that dogs can slow down as they age and require more patience, administration of meds and love. It can make you a nervous wreck wondering if the sitter will follow your instructions. I get it and make sure your senior and/or small pup is in the best care possible. 🏡 LONG-TERM STAY FRIENDLY Are you traveling abroad? Planning a work trip or wedding and need someone to watch your pet like the love of their life? We got you. We prefer long-term stays and offer discounts for extended stays. ⭐️ 100% SAFE & TRUSTWORTHY Your dog is in the best of care. I take the time to get to know your pet, understanding their needs and how to lead them. 📸 DAILY PICTURES & UPDATES We send regular updates and pictures of your pet living their best life. You can rest assured your dog is being cared for and happy. 🥰 CUDDLES, LULLABIES & PLAY TIME I sing to the dogs, play games, cuddle with them and talk to them letting them know that you’ll be back soon. They don’t alway love the singing, but they do love the play time and reassurance! 🌳 DAILY WALKS >> 140-ACRE NYC PARK We do regular walks, rain or shine, to ensure your dog has the exercise they need for a healthy life. For energetic dogs, we have hiking in the woods. For less adventurous pups, we have a leisurely stroll at the park. ⛑️ CPR TRAINING I’m in the process of getting certified for small animal / dog CPR. 🏳️‍🌈 QUEER FRIENDLY If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. **COMPLIMENTARY BONUSES** 🍭 HOMEMADE TREATS (OPTIONAL) I make all natural treats as an extra bonus especially in the heat of the summer. Please advise me of any food allergies or restrictions in advance. 🍖 FOOD ALLERGY RECOMMENDATIONS (OPTIONAL) In another life, I sold pet food and learned the ins and outs of food. I also struggled with my own dog’s food allergies leading to thousands of dollars in vet bills. If your dog is struggling with tummy issues, I’m happy to share what I know.

On time, well attuned to the dog and familiar with gentle leaders. I would recommend the service again.

Your pet has full range of the house for overnight stays or daycare, minus my bedroom. The apartment is spacious with room to run around (950 sq ft) and in an elevator building. If your dog has trouble with stairs, that's ok. We can use the elevator. There are dog beds, dog toys, optional homemade dog treats and a fellow pup to hang out with!

Information Lalita B. would like to know about your pet

It's important to know the following: 1. Does your dog have any food allergies? If so, what? 2. Do they take any medication? If so, what meds do they take, and how often? 3. Tell me about what triggers your dog. 4. How does your pet like / dislike to be held? 5. Who is your vet? Name, number, and location. I'd also like to know the following: 1. What should I know about your pet? What does your pet love? 2. Does your dog have accidents in the house? If so, tell me more. 3. Are they afraid of or aggressive towards certain people, places, dog breeds, or things? 4. How many walks do they get a day? 5. Do they have any phobias (e.g. skateboarders)?

A typical day

Every day is a little bit different, and we can adapt to the needs of the dog. We start the day off with a morning walk. We love being outdoors, cuddling, and playing games/learning new tricks. I live 2 blocks away from Inwood Park, with access to both the park and trails. We'll take walks in nature, specifically Inwood Park, the Cloisters, and Fort Tryon Park . We have lots of toys at the house with ample space to run around and play. There are also plenty of tummy rubs, cuddles, and serenades. This gives your pup a chance to: 1- Be in nature (good for their nervous system) 2- Enjoy gentle hills for extra exercise (burn nervous energy faster)! 3- Feel like a champion and build their self-confidence. All of this translates to a better night's sleep for you.

Availability

I WORK FROM HOME and am home most days out of the week. I also walk dogs. When I am completing a local dog walk, your dog may be crated for 30-60 minutes while at doggie daycare and boarding. They may also join me on the walk if and when it makes sense. If your dog cannot be crated for any amount of time, please let me know in advance. My small dog Luna enjoys other pets, and we walk 3x a day. We live 2 blocks from a 140-acre park (Fort Tryon), and the walks are amazing. Your pup will be loved unconditionally, and have a blast!
