I volunteer at the aquarium and met Laken, one of the key members of the mammals and birds team. We travel 4-6 weeks each year and have two cats. Laken has been our cat sitter when we are away for the past 8 years. She moves into our house so that it shows some presence as well, and we value the added security. We always come home to happy cats. She'll send some pictures or short videos while we're gone and you can tell they enjoy spending time together. It means so much to us that someone so kind takes care of our babies while we're gone, and to know that it is someone who is trained to take care of mammals for a living makes us that much more comfortable. Over the years we've become friends and whenever Laken walks in, the cats perk up and give her love. They do that with very few people, so we know they're in good hands with Laken!
