Hello! My name is Laken. For the past 16 years, my life has revolved around animals. I was raised with (and by) Airedales Terriers, a stubborn, smart, and incredibly loving breed. I went to college at Del Val University, where I took several courses that revolved around the care of small animals, including cats and dogs. I worked as an Assistant Groomer/Kennel Attendant at a boarding kennel and cattery and a Kennel Attendant at a dog walking/training kennel as well as assisting my family as hobby breeders and AKC Confirmation show handlers. With over 5 years of professionally caring for people’s “kids”, I have worked with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and abilities/disabilities. I have experience with giving medications (orally, IM, SubQ, and intra-nasally) and I’ve been educated in the basics of dog first aid and CPR. I’ve worked with and assisted in training dogs of all ages and sizes, so you can be confident that your pup won’t develop bad habits during our time together (hopefully). Most importantly, I’ll love your dog like he/she is my own. While they’re with me, they’ll get plenty of pets, kisses, love, and the occasional treat. You want the best for your baby, and I’ll do my best to provide that. Unfortunately, I am unable to do weekday drop ins and walks between 7:30 am and 5:00 PM.
