Doggies paradise: animal lover
Pet care experience
Please read all details. If you are new to Rover, you save $20 with promocode: LAIZAG47087 The following description is to help those who are new to Rover. Boarding-over night stay at my house Day Care-8 hours or less at my house Home drop-in visits- 30 min to an hour home visit to check on dog(s), play with them and make sure they have food and clean water. Walks: 30 minutes to an hour walk *The total cost of service includes a one time Rover fee (that money goes to Rover). *Rover takes 20% percentage of my pay. *Extended stay is automatically added to your total when the pick up time exceeds 8 hours. I receive 50% of that. *The first 2 bookings need to be through Rover. Please do not send me your phone number or ask me for my personal number in an attempt to make a deal outside Rover. Rover can track the conversion. I think is better to establish an honest/respectful client-dog sitter relationship here before moving on to other options. *once you send me a booking request, I will set up a meet and greet (if you are available). The meet and greet can take place at your house, my house or a park. It takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on your questions. *Rover will ask you to enter you credit card information to process your payment. The booking becomes official once the payment goes through. If you want to wait for our meet and greet before confirming booking, that's totally ok with me. In fact, I encourage you to wait. Some client find it helpful to bring their dog to day care before actually boarding their dog. This allows your dog to get used to a new environment. This is totally optional. *If you are an established client and you are having issues with the Rover App, I can actually request booking for you (just send me a message in our latest conversation). I can also modify your booking in case we need to make any last minute changes. *If you are running late for pick-up (30 minutes to an hour), there will be no extra charge as long as you let me know ahead of time. *100% of the money you tip me goes to me. A tip is not a requirement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. *I'm usually not on my phone between the hours of 9PM and 9AM. I decided to try Rover as an attempt to be a full-time fur mom. I fell in love with the whole experience. All dogs come with a message of love and compassion. I am very grateful to my clients for their respect, kindness and trust. I know how hard it can be to find the right person to take care of our fur friends. I had struggles of my own. I was not able to find a long term dog sitter for my dogs. Luckily, I am now able to stay with them. I am the daughter of immigrant parents. I was born in California but raised in San Luis, Mexico. I have a masters degree in Human Relations, a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and minor in Chemistry. I been married for almost 9 years to a very caring husband. My husband is a veteran. He helps me with the dogs on the weekends. You will see him in some of the pictures. In the past, I have mainly worked with children and teens (P.E Teacher and Academic Success Advisor). I have also had other temporary jobs such as administrative Specialist, Community Specialist, Zumba Instructor, Substitute Teacher, Academic Advisor and Testing Coordinator. During Covid, I developed my own little business mentoring children and teens (for emotional support). From all the jobs I have performed, dog sitting has been the most tender to my soul. I learn how to be compassionate to myself. I also learn a lot about humans which I find it extremely interesting. It's very important that we do a meet and greet so we can formally introduce each other. I understand if it's not possible do to an emergency or when out of town. My dogs will not be part of the meet and greet. I have learned to introduce dogs slowly (as well as toys). There is no rush. Dogs have different temperaments and personalities. Some dogs act differently around their owner and some dogs need time to adjust to each other. Your dog's comfort and safety are my priority.
Reviews
Laiza took great care of my furbaby, Tony! I really appreciate her flexibility, she was very accommodating. I loved all the picture updates.
Laiza is AMAZING! She goes above and beyond what you would expect from a dog sitter. Jax was spoiled with long walks, treats, cuddles, park visits, and so much more. She sent updates everyday which I loved and plenty of photos and videos. Jax was so happy when we picked him up and we could tell he had such a good time and was well taken care of. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars!! Would absolutely recommend anyone considering a dog sitter to book Laiza, you will not regret it!! Thank you Laiza for loving on my pup!!
Laiza was great
Laiza is the best. Our dog Tequila loves her 🥰

I have realized that the most important thing is to be fully present with your dog and to keep your dog happy and safe. Please let me know how many updates/pictures you would like to receive throughout the day. Please bring dog’s food. This is extremely important because some dogs develop an upset stomach due to sudden food changes. If your dog doesn't like dry food, please bring frozen food or ingredients for me me to cook.

Information Laiza G. would like to know about your pet
Things I would like to know: 1.Please tell me about your expectations 2. Dog's food preferences and allergies. 3. Dog's medication 4. Dog's triggers 5. What soothes your dog? 6. Dog's favorite toys/games or places to visit 7. Dog's pecial needs 8. How often would you like me to communicate with you? 9. Is your dog vaccinated? I know some people prefer not to vaccine their dogs because of a particular vaccine reaction. My dogs are fully vaccinated and I can show you proof. I don't apply the tick prevention treatment to dogs that I am sitting (unless I discussed it with pet owner). I want dogs to be able to play with each other. I won't administer the heart worm medication either. Some dogs develop a reaction. I prefer you do those two treatments at home. Thank you for your understanding.

I grew up around dogs. I love their company and attending to their needs. I learn so much from their tenderness, compassion, wisdom and love. I spend my day with the dogs. I even take them on car rides except when the weather doesn't permit it (high temperatures). I rarely have to step out of the house to attend to a doctor's appointment, pick up a dog or walk a dog. It's never more than 2/3 hours. If your dog doesn’t like to be created, that’s totally fine with me. I let dogs roam freely around the house but if you have specific instructions, I will make sure to follow your instructions. I don't take in more than 5 dogs at a time. This is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs. We just bought an additional bed so all dogs fit on the bed (in case dog sleeps on the bed).
