Warm-hearted Dog Lover

Pet care experience

Aside from my family dog (She’s literally the best dog ever) - I used to help my college roommates and post-grad roommates’ with their dogs whenever their schedule would get too busy - naturally I’d loved spending time with their dogs as a stress relief in medical school and found it a good way to stay active. I have also learned patience and sheer compassion that have affected me as a human tremendously. When I moved to Charlotte I lived with a roommate who is a member of rover and learned a lot from her. Recently I have decided to turn carrying for dogs into my hobby (that has become my favorite one by far). I’m currently waiting to start my medical residency in the upcoming year and have a lot of free time outside of my current part-time job, which is remote research lab job - hence I am essentially based from home. I also live with a partner who works remotely full time and has lived with dogs her entire life -- so your dog will have an eye on them literally every second of them spending time with us while you are away. I have 2 dog beds and a couple of crates available depending on the age of the dog/training stage that I utilize whenever hosting dogs from family and friends. I believe in my ability to give your dog the attention and love they need - oh yeah and a lot of healthy doggy treats :D

Laith took amazing care of our dog while we were abroad for over 2 weeks. We received many videos and updates and our pup always seemed happy and entertained. Kirby gots lots of walks and we felt he was being taken care of just as we would. We will absolutely use Laith again.

Laith and Nas took such great care of my golden retriever while I was out of town. They provided me with daily updates and messages. I know that they took great care of my dog. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Dropoff was a complete mess and pickup was just so so. There were picture and video updates (though no updates on activities really). We generally felt our dog was getting good care by Laith’s girlfriend Nas, but we were glad this was only a two night stay. The dropoff confusion did not leave us with a sense of confidence.

Information Laith G. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs as I can be very accommodating and prepare accordingly. Food/medicine/exercise/disabilities/ailments; I’ll make sure everything is in place and ready by the time your dog arrives. Here I provide my standardized bulletpoint of services/requirements: 1. I make sure to follow your dog's individual schedule (that we ask you prior to hosting) 2. I ask you about their specific triggers. 3. I give them smooches (the most important part in my opinion:). 4. I ALWAYS communicate in a kind tone. 5. I provide our own basic crate. However, we encourage bringing over a crate your dog is familiar with. 6. I also ask you to bring their fave toy over so they feel closer to home when they re away. 7. I avoid busy roads during walkies 8. I do NOT provide food (as each dog has individual preference) 9. I live five minutes away from forth ward park which has dog fountains and mittens and 10 mins away from ninth street park that recently became a great dog park. 10. Depending on your own requests and observing whether or not the dog has been trained, we allow them a certain amount of freedom in roaming around apartment/park 11. I also provide training (from simple to moderate level of commands). Hence, if you would like us to help you with that we are down to do it. (the rate is $25 a day OR $75-100 a learned command (depending on the level (proof of working included). We are familiar with basic and german techniques for training. 12. I am equipped with knowledge of canine CPR.

A typical day

I love the company of dogs in general - some of the things I like to do is go to the park nearby to play some fetch and also take decent walks in scenic areas. Sometimes I go to dog parks so they can play with other dogs as well.
