Pet care experience
I am employed full time as an insurance account representative in Mechanicsville, VA. I have 5 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital, mostly with cats and dogs, but sometimes with smaller critters, as well. I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I am experienced in caring for dogs and cats. I am also comfortable working with small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even exotics, like lizards. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog of my own. I am more flexible to care for animals on the weekends and evenings, and I can drive. I live in Montpelier, VA and I can care for pets within a 10 mile radius. I can come to your home to care for your pets. I am able to give medication to cats and dogs orally or by injection, and give at home care such as fluids, if needed. I am also able to care for diabetic pets. If you would like, I will send text updates of your pets while you are out of town, or we could even set up a FaceTime call so you can see them! Wonderful with the dogs-Lainey adapted to all of their different personalities with ease! When we came home, the house was spotless, the dogs happy, and water bowls full. I will definitely be using Lainey for future house sitting needs!
Lainey checked in on our cat while we were away for a week. It is always hard to leave our cat while on vacation, but we felt so much better knowing Lainey was going to be checking in and keeping her food and water bowl full. Lainey was great at communicating with us and sending updates with pictures while we were gone! I would use her again in the future without hesitation.
Lainey is a true animal lover!! She has cared for my two dogs many times and often just comes to visit them!! Lainey is also an experienced vet assistant. I've known her for years and highly recommend her as a pet sitter! She's also one of the finest young adults I've had the pleasure of knowing.
Lainey has been a wonderful help to our family. We have a rescue who is blind and occasionally have an additional family members dog at our home as well. It is such a relief to have someone as trustworthy and loving to be on hand for our dogs. Lainey is very attentive to their needs and schedules. They are always happy when she is there for them. I would highly recommend Lainey for both short and long term pet sitting. She has a real love for animals and is a very diligent caretaker.
