Home Away From Home♥️
Pet care experience
I’ve had my own dog since I was 20 years old and going to college—that was over 18 years ago now! My family and I have fostered roughly 60 dogs from neonatal puppies to hospice/senior adults and everything in between. My husband and I are huge animal lovers and heavily involved in the rescue community. We love welcoming new dogs into our home and providing care for them! Expect your dog to get lots of attention and love while in our care. We are familiar with many medical conditions through experience and my previous work at a large veterinary hospital. We have experience with the following conditions: 🔲 Cushings 🔲 Ear Infection 🔲 UTI 🔲 Liver Cancer 🔲 Liver Shunt 🔲 Lar Par 🔲 Kidney Failure 🔲 Diabetes, including insulin injections 🔲 Skin infections 🔲 Allergies 🔲 Hind-end Weakness 🔲 Arthritis 🔲 Nursing Mother and Puppies 🔲 Weaning Puppies 🔲 Bleeding Disorders 🔲 Impaired Vision and Hearing 🔲 Thyroid Disorders 🔲 Pancreatitis 🔲 Obesity 🔲 Post surgery 🔲 No Spleen 🔲 Stomach Cancer 🔲 Car Sickness 🔲 Mange 🔲 Seizures 🔲 Anxiety 🔲 Global Fear Disorder 🔲 Storm Anxiety 🔲 Resource Guarding 🔲 Separation Anxiety I, Lacy, am a stay-at-home mom so the dogs we watch are rarely left alone. When I need to run an errand, I have a Furbo camera to monitor your dog. We only take one family at a time to ensure they get enough attention. Our goal is to mirror the dog’s home environment as best as we can. If your dogs like to sleep in bed, they are welcomed in ours. If you prefer they stay off the furniture, we follow those rules. Are they used to a morning walk? We will provide that. We keep feeding and daily schedules consistent as well, as we’ve found this makes dogs feel more comfortable and helps them settle in quicker. As we’ve used dog sitters ourself, we know the importance of piece of mind when you leave your pet. The safety of your pet is our top priority. We treat your pet like they are our own, as that’s what we expect of our dog sitters as well. We have a fenced in backyard. We do not allow our kids to walk the dogs without the owner’s permission. We have safety gates at stairways for dogs who cannot safely utilize stairs (typically seniors or very small puppies). For the well-being of our resident dogs and the dogs who we care for, we ask that your pet be up-to-date on vaccines and prevention measures (especially tick and flea). The last thing we want is to spread a preventative illness. Poop is picked up several times a week to ensure no parasites are spread. **IF YOUR DOG MARKS, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A BELLY BAND FOR THEM TO WEAR.** Since I’m home most of the day, the dogs get to go in and out as much as they want and are supervised for most of their stay. Safety is most important—for my dogs and yours. We will ask you to pick up your dog if he/she is a safety concern for my dogs or other dogs I’m caring for. I only take one dog at a time but drop offs and pick ups may overlap.

Awesome experience with Lacy and Nick. Recommend them and would have no reservations with leaving our pup again with them.
Great Rover experience. Our dog was well cared for and you can tell Lacy and Nick are patient animal lovers! Our dog came home happy and worn out! Great communication and would recommend them 100%!
If you are looking for someone to take good care of your pet while you're away, I highly recommend Lacy & Nick. We were very happy with Ginger's stay with Lacy & Nick! We appreciated the daily updates and photos. It was very obvious from the photos that Ginger was enjoying her stay with her new friends. We will definitely use them in the future for our doggie day care/boarding needs.
This was my first time boarding my dog and I can gladly say it was a success! Lacy is always attentive to your dog’s behavior and will send you updates and photos of your dog having a good time. I loved getting pictures of my pup while I was away, and Lacy was flexible when my schedule kept getting crazy. 100% recommend to any pet parent!

Where does your dog sleep? What can we do to make your dog most comfortable? Are there any fears or allergies we need to be aware of? What are their favorite games and toys? Any problematic behaviors we should be aware of? We can handle most things, but it’s important you are honest with us.
A typical day
We make sure the dogs we watch get plenty of playtime running in the backyard, doing mind puzzles, going for walks, and playing with our plethora of dog toys. Of course rest is important too and we have several comfy dog beds for them to snuggle into.
