Flexible Dog Caretaker
Pet care experience
I am currently in between jobs in the professional corporate world and looking for some side dog caretaking in the Biltmore/Camelback East/Arcadia area preferred (I am off of Campbell near Camelback High School). I have been apart of this platform since 2013 when it was first Dog Vacay before the company got acquired. I have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who are pretty calm and medium to low energy. I can only accommodate watching pups at my home (both during the day or overnight) that are medium to low energy and ideally smaller breeds, but if you have a larger dog thats very calm I would be open to that. My dogs are not very playful and become very stressed by too energetic, pushy or hyper dogs that don't respect other dogs boundaries and signals. It's important to me that the temperament of the dog is aligned with my dogs when considering day boarding or potential overnights at my place. They especially like other Cavaliers. As mentioned, the type of dogs I would consider watching in my home with my 2 dogs would need to be highly temperamental based...an older or mostly chill dog who enjoys just being around company is ideal. My dogs will keep to themselves and are very in tune with other dogs warnings, friendliness, etc. and will respond accordingly. They are not food aggressive. Because of this, I mostly prefer drops ins if you are going out of town or gone for the day, potential day sitting at my home and dog walking assignments. I feel I am pretty good at watching puppies and potty training, I have watched many peoples Cavalier puppies as young as 12 weeks old and worked on crate training as well with them.
Reviews
Lacey is such a great pet sitter, my dogs love her and her dogs! I know that when I leave town my girls are taken care of and comfortable. She provides a calm environment I know my dogs appreciate. She is great about keeping me updated with pictures and videos while I’m away. She is comfortable with the various feeding protocols I’ve provided in the past. I also appreciate how knowledgable and perceptive she is, she has noticed things and brought them to my attention so I can address. I am so glad I found her and that I never have to worry about my dogs when I leave them in her care.

I have grown up with dogs my entire life, and have had many pets growing up in my family as a kid. Between my parents current 4 pomeranians and my 2 dogs, I've watched 6 dogs at once! I am comfortable giving medication (pills, eye drops, etc.) and very flexible and open to hearing and accommodating any special needs (e.g. extra feedings for puppies.

Information Lacey M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know your dogs temperament, if there are any medication needs, what time your dogs get up and go to bed usually, what time they typically eat, dietary restrictions, how they are usually fed (in crate, etc.?) how often they need to be let out, if there are certain times of the day I should wait for them to go #2 more than others, if they are crate trained, preferences for where your dog sleeps, etc. I want to know all the details, the more the better! I am also comfortable feeding all types of food, kibble, raw, fresh, etc.
A typical day
My dogs love walks and exploring outside but also being lazy on the couch and sleeping. We have more relaxed and easy going days mostly at home so we will not be a great fit for a super energetic dog used to going on several mile walks or runs a day. :) My dogs are EXTREMELY food motivated so we cannot free feed in our household, we feed once in the AM around 530/6 and again in the PM around 5.

Availability
I am currently not working my typical desk job but even when I am, my schedule is usually taking the dogs out at 6am, 10am, 2pm, after dinner and before bed around 9pm. My dogs are a big part of my life so there's a lot of interaction and pets and talking to them.
