Pet care experience
I have prior experience in pet care and can't stay away! I have worked with elderly pets and pets that need medications including injections. I love working with senior pets. For example, my own corgi dealt with a disk injury and he has gone from needing a wheelchair to walking unassisted after laser and hydrotherapy.

It's a big relief knowing my fur babies are in Kyra's caring hands when we have to leave them.
Kyra was a Godsend for us and our very elderly, much loved cat Cassie. Cassie is 20 years old and has advanced CKD, requires frequent feedings, medications and trips to the vet for fluid infusions. Plus, she is tightly bonded to her humans and not used to being alone. When we booked a long cruise about a year ago, we had no expectation Cassie would be with us still. A good problem to have because we love her dearly but also knew our absence would be highly stressful and potentially life threatening for her. Luckily we found Kyra. Kyra went above and beyond to keep our baby safe and happy and healthy.
Kyra was amazing! She helped us out with drop-in visits for our 2 dogs (4 yo Chinook and 9 yo Chihuahua-Dachshund) while we were out of town for the weekend. She followed all care instructions to a tee and made our fur babies feel comfortable and loved. She even got our often-grumpy senior dog to warm up to her on the first visit! Kyra provided great pupdates and photos after each visit. We were super pleased and will definitely be using her again the next time we are out of town! Highly recommend Kyra.

When I come to your home I will treat it as if it were my own. If the you are gone multiple days I will bring in your mail, put trash at the curb, etc. Some clients even have me rotate lights turned on while gone. My goal is for your house to be how it was when you left including washing food/water bowls.

All breeds are welcome. Love to know their personality type and favorite activities! If they are rescued knowing if there are certain things that still scare them or things that make them feel safe. Do they have any habits, like maybe always sleeping in a certain room or a favorite toy?
A typical day
Wherever you and your pet are most comfortable with which can be around the neighborhood, local park, or trails. Backyard fetch is always a big hit with the more active dogs. More laid back dogs love the extra belly rubs. For my kitties it really depends on the cat some love to play, others love cuddling, others want their space and I'm happy to provide any of those.

Availability
I am currently not working outside of Rover which keeps my schedule flexible. I have infusion appointments for treatment but am able to schedule them around you and your pet's needs. I also do not charge for same day cancelations or modifications because I know life is unpredictable.
