Pet care experience
IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19: I want you and your family (including pets) to feel safe during this time of uncertainty. Therefore, (along with copious amounts of hand-washing/hand sanitizer and wearing a mask), I have elected to carry my own leashes (sanitized between clients) and pet-safe cleaning supplies to sanitize any surfaces I may come in contact with, free of charge! If you would like me to utilize any additional precautions, or if you have any questions, please message me at any time! I'm not allowed to have dogs in my current house, but I have a lot of love to give! I've been taking care of pets for as long as I can remember, and would often house sit for my parents in Sioux Falls. My parents' dog tended to get into things he shouldn't. Luckily, I have experience in healthcare for both humans and animals and have had plenty of practice bandaging wounds, giving medicine (both oral and injections), and taking on the general chaos that comes with owning a dog who likes to misbehave. I have lots of experience with a wide range of animals of all ages! Big or small, old or young; I’m not afraid to take it on! As for my schedule, I am currently wide open! Dogs, cats, chinchillas...You name it, I'll play with it!

Kyra has loved animals since she was little. She has donated her birthdays, since she was 8 or 9, to raising money for the local animal shelter. She is a natural with pets. She loves snuggles, and loves to play. She is very responsible, and overall, a kind-hearted pet caretaker.
Kyra is very loving & caring with pets of all shapes and sizes! As a young child, she was the neighborhood "go to" pet sitter, and was always in demand. Kyra wouldn't just show up to feed and walk the pets, she would spend time giving them plenty of love and attention, too! Whether it be dogs, cats, guinea pigs or goldfish, Kyra does a fantastic job!

I love all breeds, big or small. The main things I like to know about a dog would be how their daily routine is so I can mimic it as best as I can. I also will ask about any medications, treatments, or habits a dog may have and other things I should watch out for.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood or nearby parks are always fun, and especially good for leash training! Playing fetch, tug-of-war, and just running around are some of my favorite ways of burning off energy! I also love playing Hide-and-Seek as a way of helping dogs work on their deductive abilities.
