“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than they love themself.” I have an undeniable passion for animals, especially doggies! I grew up around many family pets: Beagle, Chihuahuas, and Pomeranian. I adopted a senior Boston Terrier from my sister in 2012 when she was no longer able to handle a pet + 2 young kids. I gave him unconditional love & care until he crossed over the rainbow bridge in 2016 :(

Kym did a wonderful job watching Hudson. She had great communication during his stay and was very flexible with the pick/ drop off time adjustments we made.
We had a bit of an unorthodox request having Kym watch our dog during our wedding and bringing the dog to a photoshoot and then back home. Kym was communicative and fantastic throughout the day and did everything we asked of her and more so that our pup could be a part of our special day and have somewhere safe to stay during most of the festivities. We couldn't recommend Kym more.

I have a spacious pet-friendly apartment with elevator access. Dogs rule the house... they can lounge anywhere they want.. chairs, sofa, bed, etc :) The streets around my building are relatively quiet (not too crowded) and great for dog walking.

I'm interested in knowing your pet's schedule and personality. Is your pet house trained? How frequently do they need to go out for a walk or potty break? How does your dog react to people and other dogs? Would I need to hide my socks or shoes? How will your dog handle being alone for an hour or two? Any anxiety? Any special needs?
A typical day
Doggies in my care will enjoy: long walks, playtime, fetch, and unlimited belly rubs. And if they're just fine napping on the couch, I'm ok with that too! I'm located in FiDi/Seaport and work from home with a flexible schedule!

Availability
While I'm not ready to become a pet owner any time soon, I looove being around furry friends. Before the pandemic hit, I volunteered for 2 non-profits: PAWS NY (walking dogs) & Animal Haven (cleaning rooms/feeding/and socializing with pets). PAWS NY provides services to vulnerable New Yorkers who need support caring for their pets due to physical and financial obstacles they face, with particular emphasis on low-income older adults and individuals living with illness or disability. Animal Haven finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs in New York City and throughout the Tri-State area, and provide behavior intervention when needed to improve chances of adoption. I'm located in FiDi/Seaport and work from home with a flexible schedule!
