Fun Adventure Retreat For Your K9
Pet care experience
We are avid hikers and adventurers who love to hang out with 4 legged companions. We do not discriminate based on breed, age, or size! My boyfriend and I have a wonderful home, on over a half acre lot. I am a professional dog trainer and we love opening up our home to furry friends, we have an entire room dedicated to our guests and we even have our own dog washing station to make sure they stay clean! We have a lab and a Dutch shepherd that are very well trained and love playing with visitors. We go outside and play many times a day, we can’t wait to meet your friends!! We also can take care of all the other needs such as drop in visits, dog walking, watching your home, etc. if you have any questions or special concerns please don't hesitate to ask, we are flexible and are here to make sure your pups are taken care of! The training company is called Iliad K9 Academy. We make sure your furry family member is both mentally and physically exercised (Includes/but not limited to: obedience, running, tricks, hiking, boredom busters, etc). I have experience with aggressive dogs (both human and dog aggressive), nervous/shy/timid dogs, and everything in between. The dogs that spend time with us will have plenty of structured play time and you will receive picture and video updates!
Reviews
I am very disappointed with my boy's stay with Kylie. I started feeling uneasy when I dropped the boys off and it seemed like a rush to get me out the door when someone else pulled up. I didn't feel like we talked enough so I sent a message reiterating their care instructions. I said 3 things: 1-Feed them 2 cups 2x a day. Duke must only eat his food because of allergies. I gave exactly enough food for the stay. 2-Always kennel Duke when gone, even in the shower. He's a destructive puppy at 8 months. 3-Do not shut Gus in a room or a kennel. He has confinement anxiety. Follow all 3 of these and it'll go great. Overall they're very well trained dogs. They go everywhere with me and have never had a problem in a new place or at a sitter when I absolutely have to leave them. What happened when I picked them up? They either fed them a fourth of what I said to feed them or they fed them a different food. They each had most of their food left (should have had none left). They left Duke out of the kennel for a couple hours unsupervised and he destroyed all kinds of stuff including the nice bed I left with them. They also locked Gus in a room and he was very nervous and frantic when I picked him up. Her boyfriend told me how it wasn't his problem and he can't watch dogs that can't be locked in rooms or be out of the kennel. He also said they must have been feeding my dogs their own food since my dog's food was barely touched. Duke had diarrhea for two weeks. Kylie still will not admit to feeding them anything but their food. In that case she severely underfed them and says it was my fault that I didn't pre-measure their food into little baggies (I gave her 2 gallon bags). My dogs are like my children and I always hate leaving them. I am so angry about how everything happened. She offered to give me free boarding or training to make up for the mistakes. I thought about it for a while but decided I wanted to warn others that might leave their babies with them for the weekend. I strongly suggest against it. 1 star for keeping them alive.
Kylie was fantastic with our standard poodle. He was definitely happy during his stay. I highly recommend her because of her obvious love for the dogs and her knowledge of dogs.
Kylie was a perfect fit for our pugs! I loved picking them up and greeting happy pugs!
Kylie was very accommodating and took really good care of Dottie. She was very quick to respond and kept us updated on Dottie. Will use Kylie again! Thanks.
