Pet care experience
While my most recent work experience was in mental healthcare and education, I have volunteered with animals in the past. I care for my own pug and occasionally my sister’s pitbull and cat, and have experience administering medication for a family member’s dog. I have pet sat for friends, and have spent time caring for dogs of many sizes and breeds. I am comfortable pet sitting, dog walking, house sitting, and more. I have past training in CPR, crisis intervention, and school counseling so I am comfortable caring for others in emergency and non-emergency situations. My childhood vacations were spent at family farms, which fostered the familiarity and respect for animals I have now. And most of all I love dogs and truly enjoy caring for them!

Let me know if your pet special needs, medications/supplements, their comfort ability with strangers, and how they prefer sleeping. I’m comfortable sharing space with a pet or giving them their own space depending on their temperament and your preferences!
A typical day
I would feed and provide exercise requirements for the pet early on so they are less prone to accidents and nervous, destructive behavior. When I sit my sister’s reactive dog I follow a feeding schedule 3 times a day, walk him for at least a mile, and play with him as well as offer calming supplements and crate time when needed. I’m active and love playing with pets whether it’s throwing a ball, tugging rope, or going on a hike!

I currently work full time, but am available evenings and weekends and even overnights when necessary. I have reliable transportation and don’t mind driving a little extra when needed.
