Pet care experience
I have been around dogs and other animals my entire life. From growing up with multiple dogs and cats in the house at all times, to getting my own puppy when I was 18, to helping out on my boyfriends farm- I have filled every role in taking care of animals. I am very familiar with the necessary approaches to handling all types of dogs temperament, personality, etc. I will love your dog!!

Kayleigh is an excellent walker and we are very pleased with the care she provides Oscar. Our good boy knows the sound of her car and loves to announces her arrival to us. When he returns from his walk he is happy and tired. We highly recommend Kyleigh.

I usually take a few minutes to introduce myself to the dog and let them get used to me, giving them a treat to help build trust with them. I double check leashes are securely attached before leaving and I also like to bring a few treats on walks just incase we encounter a situation where I would need to get the dogs attention, distract them, etc. (or if they are just a really good boy!) I let the dog set the pace, I know for older dogs I usually slow down. I also really like to allow them to sniff when it’s appropriate so they really get the mental stimulation that they love on walks.

I like to know as much as possible about the dog beforehand! Behavior, personality, preferences, etc. Whether your dog prefers to be around other dogs or not, do they like people, what are their favorite treats, their walking tendencies, how reliable their recall is, etc are all really good things to let me know!!
A typical day
I love playing catch, tug of war, running with dogs, making them a sniffle pad which mentally stimulates them, taking them to dog parks if applicable, etc. During walks I try to find open areas with lots of grass because I find dogs absolutely love that.

I work as a bartender so I usually work night shifts. My schedule changes every week but mornings from 10am- 3pm are usually my availability!
