I love animals! I volunteer at Berkeley Humane every week and I am continually exploring career options in animal welfare. My time at the shelter has opened my eyes to a wide spectrum of different dog breed behaviors, and I've learned a great deal about how to read their body language and react accordingly. Also, my girlfriend is a vet tech and regularly teaches me various methods of basic vet medicine and more specific animal care techniques. I regularly dog sit for a friend's Great Dane, so I'm comfortable handling a giant friendly dog on walks, hikes, and at dog parks. I welcome the opportunity to run with a jog-friendly pup, and have no problem with 30+ minute walks. I'm also comfortable with overnight stays, and can provide references that demonstrate my ability to be respectful of the client's personal space. Also, I always talk to dogs in a kid voice because they make me so happy.
