From Wildlife to Dog-life
Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog owner since the age of four. My fur buddy is a long haired lab I found in Kentucky while working as a wildlife biologist. I am currently finishing writing my Master’s thesis on animal behavior and am trying to make some money to put towards my wedding. Having been surrounded by dogs my entire life and also researched animal behavior, I am very sensitive to a dog’s visual and audible cues to how they are feeling. I also have experience in basic dog first aid as my childhood beagles loved to chase rabbits near my home and often needed patching up. I can also watch cats, I just have less experience.

I have a large apartment in a beautiful neighborhood with multiple parks nearby. I have my own long-haired lab doggo who is super friendly with other dogs. He does not like cats, so I cannot board cats.
Information Kyle S. would like to know about your pet
I can walk, drop-in, and house sit for any breed or animal. However, for some reason my dog, Julius, does not like poodles. I think its the poofy hair, he also doesn't like people in cowboy hats or helmets. Julius is a sweetheart and great with other dogs and puppies.
A typical day
Lafayette Square is always a fun walk for dogs, but if that is too far from the owner, I can walk the pup around other parks or through the local neighborhood. Lafayette Park has a huge green field where we can play fetch and Four Muddy Paws loves to spoil new puppers with complimentary treats. If the dog is a member, The Doghaus is also a fun hangout for pups.

Availability
I am currently finishing writing my Master’s thesis on animal behavior and searching for a real post-grad school job, so I am available everyday. I will need to leave the home I’m sitting for an hour or two each day to see my own doggo. My wife can take care of him, I’ll just miss him if I don’t see him at least once a day. If I am watching a dog I will be at home all day unless brief errands need to be run.
