Lover of all the puppers!
Pet care experience
Lexi: I grew up having multiple dogs, all of varying breeds and sizes. My love of animals is what brought me to work with them on a professional level. I worked as a zookeeper for a while in various zoos with great apes, elephants, rhinos, numerous small mammals and birds. Through this experience I have developed a strong training background that I apply to our own dogs. Since leaving the zoo field I have taken a job at a local Denver vet clinic. This job has familiarized me with many different medical issues and proper administration of treatments. I work with timid and fearful dogs on a daily basis, and offer training advice whenever I can. Kyle: My experience with house sitting has involved many years of experience. My family had a non-profit husky rescue most of my life, and through that experience we developed a lot of friends with dogs. With my family's reputation in the dog care world we were often approached by our neighbors and friends to have me house sit. This was a fun and rewarding side job that involved taking care of many different types of animals as well as dogs. Boarding was a huge part of being a foster home, at most, we had 17 dogs at a time and often averaged around 10. Throughout that time, I became very efficient at monitoring the dogs' needs as well became confident in my ability to work on socializing and training dogs. I love spending time with pups, and am very good about engaging with them when I am not in class. Since we had huskies, arguably the most attention-demanding breed of dog, it definitely involved a lot of taking dogs on walks and runs so that they became as good as possible on leash and develop an owner-pet relationship. I strongly believe the experience a dog has on a walk is a very important aspect for them, socially with other dogs along the way as well as with the person who is holding the leash. I am very physically active, having played soccer since I was 7, hiked my whole life, and consistently have involved fitness into everything. I am more than capable of not only walking your dog, but also running them if they need it. I am very confident in my ability to work with and socialize with timid dogs as that was a big part of my role in our family's rescue. I know how to handle multiple dogs and train them in engaging and fun behaviors that they will enjoy.

Thanks Kyle and Lexi! Henry had a great time.
Kyle and Lexi were great. They were flexible with times and worked to accommodate. Their dogs were super good with our dog. We will definitely be booking with them again soon.
Kyle and Lexi were great with my pup Leo and he came back exhausted and happy from playing with their dogs Kai and Nessa! I appreciated their frequent photo and video updates and willingness to be flexible with the drop off and pick up times. I will definitely use Kyle and Lexi again in the future!

Information Kyle H. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know how mouthy they are, even with my years of experience I have a unique allergy to a component in dog saliva that causes a lot of swelling if I get bit. Stubborn dogs are always fun to work with and would probably have the best interaction with my own dog.
A typical day
I usually run my own dog around the two local parks to me, so I will likely take them to whatever park is most convenient. I think inconsistency is important when it comes to the walks a dog goes on to increase the amount of stimuli they experience so I usually change up my route. I can also take them to any dog park in the area, if they are close by I can walk your dog there instead of drive. If your dog enjoys playing with toys or a ball, I can gladly do that with them as well.
