Pet care experience
I love animals as much as the next person, but that is not what sets me apart. I have had pets of my own for 19 years, so I understand the attention to detail that is required to be sure they are receiving the best care possible. I’m a dog person, I love active and training aspects they add to one’s life. I have helped multiple friends train and understand their pets throughout my life and have found a true passion in this. I find the puzzle of figuring out how to best work with your pet endearing. This passion is also applied to other animals and I really appreciate the dimensions that a furry family member can bring to someone’s life. I understand the relief and comfort that comes from having a pet. My goal is to support others in making their pets’ lives as happy and healthy as can be. I have been good friends with Kyla since elementary school and she has always been such a great, caring and trustworthy person! She has looked after different animals and pets since I can remember - dogs, cats and horses. She now has her own dog and they are either at the dog park, on a walk, learning a new trick or cuddling! I have a fenced yard and 4 bedroom home. I also have two cats and a friendly, playful 3-year-old dog living with me. Preference would be to pet/house sit at your home to prevent stressors being added to your pet’s life while you are away. I am open to play time with your dog and mine, but also understand if that is not your preference. I have co-parents to watch my pets while I am away, so please know that your pet will be my priority while you are away. I want to be sure they are getting the best care I could possibly give. I give time for exercise, play, food, cuddles, and time for the pet to relieve themselves. If there are other manners of care you would require from me, I am open to hearing those!

Before sitting a dog, it’s important that there is open communication between the owner and myself. If there are any bad habits that you’re trying to break, the dog isn’t allowed on furniture, they bite, are still being potty trained, nervous around new people or other dogs, etc. Any information that could affect our time together or that I could help the owner with us very important for me to know.
A typical day
I enjoy walks in more open nature areas; places where you can run with a dog and let them have a taste of freedom. I am willing to take dogs to off-leash parks, but this would be something that I would have to discuss with the owner first, and I would also like to build a rapport with the dog before going into that environment. Playing with animals is so fun for me. Whether it be playing fetch in the back yard, tug-o-war, or chasing each other around to release some energy, I really enjoy the way you can see an animal light up through ‘play’!

Availability
I work full-time, working 7-8 hours shifts 5 days a week. Some of these are typically split shifts, meaning I have a 4-5 hours gap in the middle of my day. I know the importance of pet care and prioritize that outside of my work hours. Providing pets the proper time to relieve themselves, eat, exercise, and simple play is of huge importance to me. I happy to work with you to be sure that your pets get the proper care they need and have grown to love from you as an owner!
