We are an active family who loves dogs. We have a busy 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter who can’t wait to play with your dog! We enjoy going to the beach, hiking at Arroyo Verde Park, and taking long walks around our neighborhood. We own a home in mid town Ventura that has a huge fenced in yard with grass and plenty of shaded areas. We have one very friendly Labrador Retriever named Charlie. We are both teachers and have summers off so we are available full time June-August to help with your pet. If your dog is not used to small children we are unable to accept him/her at this time. We prefer labradors or similar breeds that are part of a family with small children.

Kyla is great with dogs! She is patient and has enough energy to play with even the most energetic of dogs. My 11 year old english pointer/ lab mix dog has spent time being watched by Kyla and is always taken care of just as well as I take care of her. Kyla treats her like one of the family!

Our yard is secure with a locked gate and 8ft wood fence surrounding it. Your dog will also have access to indoors thru a dog door.

Since we have small children we are not able to accept dogs that are considered to be a more aggressive breed (pitbulls, rotweilers, german shepards etc). We prefer dogs breeds similar to our Lab (other labs, golden retrievers, or labradoodles) and who are used to having children in the home.
A typical day
We like to walk up Hall Canyon or head to Ventura High School fields to play fetch. We also enjoy going to Emma wood State beach for long walks on the beach and playing fetch.

Availability
Our dog Charlie is fed twice a day. He is also walked or ran/exercised every day as well as played with in the yard by throwing one of his many balls.
