Pet care experience
My dog caring experience goes way back. My family had dogs when I was growing up, I've volunteered at the local animal shelter for a couple of years, and I've also dog/house sat for my family and friends over the years. The dogs were of all sizes and breeds, and temperaments. They also lived with other pets as well (cats, rabbits) so I'm used to sitting a variety of animals. I will ensure your dog(s) is given plenty of exercise, attention, and will follow your instructions as best I can. I have a car so I'm happy to drive to your location and stay there. If you need a walker, most of my availability will be in the evenings and the weekends. I prefer meeting the dog first so that I know how the dog will react and if there are any special instructions/care that need to be adhered to.

Kumi has watched our dogs for long extended stays and has taken excellent care of our fur children. She is responsible, attentive and caring. She really loves animals and cares for their overall well-being. She has been known to give extra kisses and pets which our dogs soak up! I would highly recommend Kumi as a dog sitter for Rover. Before Kumi relocated to Washington, D.C., she would housesit for us and care our two dogs (one Lab Mix and the other was an Aussie). She was the only person my husband I trusted with our dogs. At the time she watched them, both were older and our Aussie was on Chemotherapy. She took care of her assuring she got meds and most importantly comforted her. Beyond Kumi's responsible nature, she has a gift with animals and easily interacts and bonds with them immediately. Recently, she came to visit us and she met our two new rescue dogs, who are not welcoming to new people, but she had no problem getting them to warm up to her and even taught them new tricks. Kumi would be more than added value to your team but a trusted, and loving dog caregiver!

A typical day
We'll hit up dog parks if your dog is comfortable around other dogs, take walks at local parks and around the local neighborhood. If your dog is comfortable meeting other dogs, I may do a doggy walking date with other friends I have that own dogs.
