Adding to your pup’s pack

Pet care experience

Self motivated as a youth to work with animals, I worked for a whippet and cocker spaniel breader. Since I have been dog sitting, walking and “adopting”. This allowed me to care for dogs even when I didn’t have the time or space for my own. Now I am settled and have a mixed Breed pup of 1.5 years. I am diligent with training, offering stimuli, and exercise. I am keenly aware of the need to develop a bond with a dog prior to expecting obedience. I believe positive reinforcements are most effective in long term behavioural benefits, but am comfortable using training methods that may be found in dog packs. Small and large dogs should have the same behavioural expectations. I beleive all dogs can bite, and respect that they are animals. Each with their own fight or flight mechanisms. I think precautions should always be taken. Providing keen attention to dog behaviour, body positioning and tone of voice provides insight for early intervention. I can easily become familiar with your dog/s, and be walking them regularly. I am flexible with my times to a certain extent, and I can be flexible if you would rather your dog be the only one present on the walk.

Krystal has been providing drop in visits for our puppy while we are at work. She is patient and attentive with him and helping to release some energy and work on training. She is organized, on time and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her.

Information Krystal B. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences, each dog is unique. I like to know the style of training the dog has been accustomed to. Any previous trauma and subsequent rehabilitation. Medical conditions, and protocol should complications arise. Pup’s favourite comforts: snuggles, rubs, space, treats, talking to or walking. Physical limitations. Common commands the pup ought to know. How to beat get a hold of the caregiver should an emergency arise. Also, what would their wishes be if an emergency occurred. It’s essential to be aware of food sensitivities, food preferences and special diets.

A typical day

Scent training, tug o war, throwing the ball, walks by the river, lake, park or mountain, naps in the sun, and Belly rubs. I can take them to do the dog park if you want me to, but would prefer not to until I develop a strong bond with your dog first.
