Pet care experience
I have owned dogs for most of my life and currently have one. Boomer: 8 year old Male chocolate lab. I have fostered over 45 puppies for Second Chance in Columbia and two puppies for Whiskey Ridge Rescue in Green Ridge. I have a fenced in yard (6 foot wood privacy) and enjoy walking my dogs when weather permits. All dogs that come into my home are treated like family. For everyone's safety, I focus a lot on good dog introductions, along with feeding separately. I have been to several training classes with my dogs (current and previous), along with several fosters and pride myself on being very dog savvy. I enjoy walking and hiking. While doing these, I do like to incorporate training and proper leash walking skills for the dog. I also know how hard it can sometimes be to find a place for your puppy to be watched. Oddly enough, I actually prefer to board young puppies! I would almost call myself a master at potty training (after 40+ puppy fosters) and love to help socialize and train them!

I have a 6ft wood privacy fenced back yard. I do have a doggy door, so dogs can go in and out as they please. We have one dog that is very used to other animals coming and going through fostering and dog sitting.

For dogs coming to my home, I would like to know how they do with other dogs and children and if they are more dominant or submissive. Also any health issues or behaviors I should know about your pup.
A typical day
I've always said a tired dog is a good dog. What any particular dog needs to make that happen can change. Some may need more physical exercise, and some may need more mental stimulation, or even a mixture of both. Walks, fetch, training, puzzle feeders are all incorporated when trying to make sure our dogs are staying active.

Availability
I work full time Monday - Friday, but am available most evenings and weekends. Through the week, I do have hour long lunch breaks to be able to let the dogs run off energy and go potty in the middle of the day.
