Pet care experience
*I pet-sit together with one other person, Stephen* I am a veterinary technician with about 8 years of experience. I recently moved to the South Shore area and I am looking to expand my animal-sitting hobby/business. I am fully capable to administering medication if needed, and taking care of the poor, sick animals that just need more than average attention. I do work at a veterinary hospital, so I will not be around full-time throughout the day, but I am sure we can work something out! I feel that I am an attentive person, and I am great at following directions as needed. I can also give recommendations if you are still a little unsure and want some reassurance (which I completely understand). I am also comfortable around not only dogs, but cats, rats, rabbits, and more! Please contact me so we can discuss everything!

Not only is Kristyn an incredible person to begin with, but her knowledge of animals paired with her compassion to care for them is indescribable and a rare find these days. We first found Kristyn DeCosta via a glowing recommendation ("Awesome!") by our long-time, very respected veterinarian at Angell Memorial, for whom Kristyn worked as a vet tech. We needed no further references. Kristyn is a responsible, caring pet-care person, whom our cats loved immediately. We trust her with our beloved felines, and our home, so we essentially trust her with our lives! We cannot recommend her more highly.
Kristyn has dog and house sat for me on multiple occasions, and my dog loves her! Having a vet tech background helps a lot by easing your anxiety of leaving your dog at home, but she also takes great care of your house while you're gone!
If you want someone trustworthy with your fur babies, Kristyn's your girl. I have left my dogs and cats with her many times without any concerns. She has a quiet, calm and friendly manner which is soothing to pets. If you have special needs animals, she is well qualified to handle them. Having someone capable and committed to look after pets in their own environment is a much more desirable option than a noisy and often impersonal kennel. I can relax on vacation when I know my pets are in Kristyn's hands.
