Vet Assistant w/ rescue experience
Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs and cats for over 10 years, and have managed both boarding facilities and rescue facilities. I have experience with special needs pets and can administer injections as well as oral medications. I can also administer fluids and have experience with caring for pets after both routine and orthopedic surgeries. In addition to working as a veterinary assistant, I also work as a rehabilitation technician for dogs. I do both overnight pet sitting in your home as well as drop-in visits.
Reviews
Kristy is my cat whisperer. My cat Mose LOVES her. She’s technically outside my zone but continues to say yes. I’m very blessed. We do drop ins to house sitting and I know things will go well. I get multiple photos daily which is very comforting knowing my 13 year old Maine Coon gets his daily meds. Highly recommend this amazing woman!!
Kristy was great...she was very responsive and gave us updates and pics of our dog. Would definitely recommend!
Fabulous as always!
Kristy is amazing! During this engagement she had a personal emergency and yet still handled my house sitting and cat watching needs beautifully. I highly recommend her. I think my cat Mose misses her.

Information Kristy L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special needs. I have experience with all ages and with a variety of medical conditions. Let me know if your pet has separation anxiety and/or isn't used to being left alone. I do work 4 days a week with 10-11 hour shifts with a 30-60 minute lunch break, so I want to make sure this schedule works for you and your pet!
A typical day
I will cater the daily activities to the needs of your pet. Whether you're pet prefers lots of cuddles and assistance with eating or grooming, or is high energy and prefers lots of playing, running, and walks.

Availability
I currently work full time at a veterinary clinic, but I am available to provide care for your pet both before and after work, as well as anytime during my 3 days off a week. I work 4 days/week and my shifts last 10-11 hours with a 30-60 minute lunch break. The frequency of potty breaks for your pet just depend on whether I am working those days or not. On days I work potty breaks will be every 6 hours, and on days I don't work they will be every 2-4 hours depending on the pets usual schedule.
