Pet care experience
I have had dogs and cats my entire life. Ever since I can remeber I have always sought to understand animals and further my knowledge of care to give them the happiest lives possible. I have volunteered at a hobby farm in the past with large, small and exotic animals and have gained a wealth of knowledge from that experience. I have currently owned my dog for 11 years and am looking forward to many more years as an owner. In my spare time I am a rat breeder who specializes in even temperments and some colour variety. My passion for this is inspired by the genetic aspect as well as trying to eliminate the stigma that surrounds owning these wonderful pets.

Kristy walked my pup daily for approximately three weeks. On our first meeting I discussed the tips and tricks on walking as well as the training schedule. Immediately I was impressed about her knowledge on leashing training. She was reliable throughout the three weeks and was amazing with the pup! Definitely would recommend any services!
Kristy is a sincere animal lover. All the time I've known her she has been researching pet behavior and best pet owner practices and putting them into practice with her own dog. She is firm and caring with pets l, and is more than willing to work with pets that require lots of special love and care.

I can accomodate most special needs so long as they are discussed with me before I watch the dog. I have experience with senior pets and can change walk intensity to serve most energy levels. Once the warmer months come, with owner consent, I would enjoying finding ways to let pets cool off with some of the walk in places for Lake Ontario or small plastic pools etc. Medical and food needs can be worked with to most extents and I will always ask before presenting any new things to pets, as well as taking a slow, approach to new things.
A typical day
With dogs that are under my watch I enjoy providing both mental and physical stimulation. I love to go on long walks but am equally as happy to throw a ball for hours, run agility drills or put together things such as food puzzles or scent detection. I love going to Lemoine Point, the K and P trail and along Lake Ontario for walks but will also happily walk through local neighbourhoods around where the dog lives and is comfortable with.

Availability
I am currently a stay at home mom to a 6 year old girl. During school hours I am hoping to find animals that are looking for a walking partner since my old boy can no longer keep up. Evening walks are also something I particularly enjoy.
