Pet care experience
For some of us, dogs are not just part of our family. They ARE our family. And for our two rescue dogs, I cannot bear the thought of putting them in a kennel when we travel. But thankfully, there is another option if you - like us - don't have someone you trust to watch them. In 2014, I found a site called DogVacay (now Rover) and one pet sitter that my beagle boys used throughout our time in Oklahoma. We're now in Lubbock and had another amazing experience! So, that is why we've decided to become hosts. We'd love to be your dog's home away from home. Please feel free to ask me any other questions that you may have :) I'm excited to meet you and your four-legged kid(s)!

Kristy kept our 2 dogs for a long weekend and we could not be happier with our experience! Our flight coming home was delayed so we did not get home until after midnight. Kristy was very helpful and kept the dogs at her house an extra night until we could get home to pick them up. She was so nice and we loved working with her!
Kristy is great! She is always flexible with me and Josey is always excited when we pull up in the driveway. She has a fenced in backyard and I know Josey gets lots of outdoor time which is always my main concern. She always sends me pictures and keeps me updated on everything. She always asks questions to make sure that everything I want is done or taken care of. So appreciative of her taking such good care of my 4 legged baby!
Kristi is wonderful. Always there if we need here and Barkley loves her!
Dexter enjoyed his stay with Kristy and her family! I felt comfortable knowing dexter was in a loving, dog friendly environment. Her two dogs are very easy going, they have a great back yard for play time. We also enjoyed Kristy and her husband, wonderful people! We highly recommend :-)

Please me know if your dog has special needs (medications; are they housebroken; escape artists; have separation anxiety; resource guards with food, water, or toys; aggressive; leash-puller; digger or fence-jumper; barkers; etc.) I have a crate that can be set up if your dog needs it to feel safe.
A typical day
The dogs have full reign of the house when we're home, including cuddle time on the couch. We don't have kids, so no worries about open gates or doors. Our attention will be focused on your pup(s)! The fenced yard has room to play. We also have a separate dog run in case your dog needs some alone time. Want walks? We can arrange that for an additional fee. Otherwise, we rely on backyard playtime.

Both my husband and I work from home, so we're home more often than not. My dogs are typically never left alone more than four hours or so. A bit spoiled? Yes, I think so. :)
