Furry friend fun is my middle name!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kristina! I just moved up here to Fairbanks, AK from Denver, CO where I lived for 4-5 years and dog, as well as cat, sat consistently. I am hoping to continue to offer my help and services when possible in this magical land. When your furry friend is with me, you don't have anything to worry about. They will get plenty of attention, loving, adventure, and care. I want to keep your best friend happy and calm, as well as prioritizing their safety. I make sure basic needs like food, water, bathroom breaks, and of course, treats, are met as well as offering a welcoming, cozy, fun environment. I interact at the animal's pace under my care as well as making sure to get any information relevant to care, routine, and such from you as the owner. With a combined 6-7 years of animal sitting in my background, I have gained more knowledge on animal breeds (specifically dogs and cats), the use of effective and proper pet etiquette, ways to assist pets struggling with (separation) anxiety, depression, and related issues, basic medication administration, dog walking techniques, positive reinforcement training, and so much more. I have also had the privilege of taking care of animals in weather conditions ranging from -5F all the way to 105F, so I am knowledgeable in an array of weather conditions.
Reviews
Kristina was super communicative and sent lots of photos. Parker was in great hands and I highly recommend booking with her!
Kristina was absolutely amazing with our boy Loki! ? She kept us updated every day, sent us tons of pictures, and gave him so much love and attention. She took him on many long walks which we appreciated SO much since he’s a high energy doggo. We could tell when we picked him up that he was so well cared for. We will definitely be using her again in the future!!
Kristina was amazing! She kept me in the loop about Luther the entire stay and made me feel at ease leaving Luther with her the first time. Great communication and easy to talk to. Would 15/10 would recommend.
I couldn’t be more grateful for Kristina. I had to find last minute dog care for my injured dog

I love to have doggos chill with me! As someone that works form home, they will get to sit next to me on the couch, under the desk, beside me at the desk, cuddle in bed with me, or whatever they find comfortable! I know they can get some anxiety being away from their owners (and owners away from their best friend!) so I want to ease that strain as much as pawsible for both parties.

Information Kristina W. would like to know about your pet
1) Does your dog bark? - would like to know as I live in a apartment building. a bark here and there is fine, but compulsive barking is a no please 2) Any allergies your dog has? 3) How they are around other doggos/people/authority figures? Does your pup respond differently based on gender/sex of a person or another dog? 4) Any Separation anxiety? If so, how "extreme" is it? How do you handle it? How should I approach it with your pup? Any suggestions? 5) Does your dog take any medication? If so what and what is the regiment? 6) Does your dog have a special diet at all or any dietary restrictions?
A typical day
The two biggest things your pup and I will do is hang out and go on walks. When the weather is nice and I have communicated with the owner, I will take your furry friend to the park, on runs, on a hike, and maybe even camping! I tend to walk towards Cheeseman park and depending on the dog, switch up route each walk we go on or each day. When at home, I will play with the dog and if their are any toys provided, engage with the dog that way. In addition, I tend to put on Dog TV in the background (or something of the sorts) if I am working so that your pup isn't losing their mind!

Availability
I am an active individual! As someone that tends to wake up around 4-6am, I will wake up and take Fido out for a walk first thing in the morning. This will look like a 20-30 min morning stroll. My normal Monday-Friday work hours are 7am-4pm and I work from home so I tend to take your puppero out at least two more times during my work day for about 10-15 mins (unless more/less time out is specified). On the weekend, since I have all day, that will be the same schedule but for longer durations (think like 30mins-1hour - unless otherwise specified). After work, or in the evening, we will go on either a longer walk (30-45 mins) if a work day and a shorter one if the weekend (since they have already been out a few times for longer stints). Finally, that last walk of the night (fi needed), we will go out around 8-10pm for a quick walk around the block (5-10mins). Your pup will be sure to get PLENTY of exercise with me! ****One thing to note - I do adjust schedules depending on weather and time of year. I will not take a dog out for a super long time when it is the middle of summer and 100F degrees out. Same idea with winter - we are not going out in -10 F degree weather for extended period of times. I will also make sure that your pup has extra water, is "layered accordingly" (If applicable), and so forth!
