Animals are family!
Pet care experience
Hello! We’re the Asakura family. My name is Kristina and I have loved and had many animals my entire life. I have loved and cared for pets for as long as I can remember, I started watching my neighbors sheltie when I was 6. Years ago my husband told me dogs can’t out number people in our house and that’s where “my” but really our rover journey began. Adding two kids and two cats to our family has been great. We still have plenty of love to go around, especially raising two animal loving kids. Our doggos are getting old, slow, and grouchy. They’re very loving but don’t really care to play with us or other pups anymore. They just want loves, treats, and to go on a short walk hear and there. We love watching dogs that enjoy going for walks and playing fetch! We love on and spoil every pet we welcome into our home. Pets are welcome anywhere in our home and even sleep with us or our kids. I do require a meet and greet prior to booking any request. This is the best way to get to know you and your fur baby/babies and answer all questions. Thank you for reading and considering me and my family to care for your pet while you are away.
Reviews
We have been using Kristina for our pup for a while now and couldn't be happier. We have to travel quite often and I know that Midnite is always taken care of while we are gone. Kristina is very responsive and accommodating. Midnite always knows when he is going there and super excited. I would highly recommend her.
Awesome as always. We were going to be late picking up Molly due to an unforeseen circumstances and Kristins was very understanding and told us to take our time which is very helpful during a stressful situation
Another great stay for Molly!
Kristina is a fantastic sitter and I cannot recommend her enough! She’s very attentive, responsive, and accommodating for everything my dog needed. Definitely will be a repeat client!

Safety is the most important thing to me. Having kids and pets I understand how hard it is to trust somebody with their safety. For this reason, I do not take in dogs that have been aggressive, resource guard, or are intact. All pets need to be up to date on all vaccines and flea and tick treatment. If your dog is not up-to-date on vaccines please do not get them right before the stay. It can upset your dogs stomach and give them diarrhea, so no fun for anyone. As for flea and tick meds no collars please and please do not use topical a week prior to dropping off your pet. This is to keep everyone safe. Our yard is fully fenced and the dogs are only let out to potty or play. Environment-I really want to ensure your dog will enjoy their time in our home. It’s the best feeling when owners tell me their dog knows when they’re coming and they see how excited they are! We try our best to do as you would at home, so if there are certain rules or schedules that you have, I would like to know. When I started river, I only watched one dog at a time. However, now I do watch more than one dog at a time. I try to have it where they are all repeat clients, and I’ve got to know the dog and their personalities. However, with first time clients occasionally there will be repeat clients where I know and trust the dogs just as I do my own. This is another reason meet and greet are so important.

Information Kristina U. would like to know about your pet
Allergies and food sensitivities are at the top of the list. My old little dog cannot have any people food or he gets really sick. With two tiny humans sometimes this can be really challenging. My two year old especially enjoys feeding dogs. We try to limit it to treats or steamed vegetables. Unfortunately the only way I can prevent them from getting food while my little one is eating is to put them outside or if they are crate trained put them inside of their crate. While we’re on the topic of eating, I would like to know if your pet is prone to eating rocks, sticks, hard plastics, getting into the garbage ect. I would like to know if your pet is what I would consider a “flight risk” where I need to use extra caution, when entering/leaving our home. Do they have good recall. If your pet is crate trained? If they’re created for bedtime or while you are away can you please bring your crate with you? My animals are not crate trained so I do not have a crate unless one is provided by the owner. I only except fully potty trained dogs. Accidents definitely happen especially with older pups or medical reasons and that is totally okay. Puppies that are potty training are okay. Does your dog have any health concerns or medical conditions or if they are on any medication? If your dog has separation anxiety or if they’re dog or people reactive, while on a leash for walks.
A typical day
We like playing inside and outside, going for walks, we live within walking distance to multiple parks and also enjoy hiking and going to the beach.

Availability
My husband is up at 4 and lets everyone out to potty. The kids and I wake 6-7. I start feeding. All dogs are fed one at a time. If you happen to have a “grazer” I will fill their bowl and offer it throughout the day. We like to go for a morning-ish walk and come home for lunch and nap time. Dogs can be let out anytime throughout the day. If we leave the animals alone its usually for appointments or trips to the grocery store. We like to take a shorter walk in the evening after dinner around the baseball fields. Dogs are usually fed their dinner around 5. I make sure to let everyone out before bed and bedtime is 9.
