Pet care experience
Hello, there! I'm Kristina! I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you soon. In the meantime, I would love for you to get to know me better. My whole life has been spent in connection to animals. I've cared for many different pets since early childhood (dogs, horses, cats, rabbits, hamsters, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and fish). My previous experience as dog walker was on TaskRabbit, and am excited to now work through Rover. I also have previous full-time experience working at a zoo, where I discovered, to my delight, that even wild animals are naturally at peace with me. I give all animals the respect they deserve. I am attentive to their needs and moods, and keep them safe and happy for the time they are in my care. My degree is in Natural Medicine, and I use this wisdom daily for various purposes. I am available every day of the week as I care for my daughter at home. She absolutely loves animals and is very loving and gentle towards them. She goes where I go, so she will be excited to meet you and your fur baby, too! You can review our photo album to see her enjoying, playing, and caring for many of our clients, including a trigger dog named Freddy who does not like children, but LOVES my little girl! As all humans and animals are unique and some pet owners may be hesitant around me bringing my child, we would be delighted to schedule a complimentary meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is at ease and happy together prior to booking any walks or visits. With us, your pets are always cared for with full love. We will happily play with them and check their water and food bowls at home if you need it. If you have a training routine for your dog, please let me know! I am very familiar with animal training, and am happy to help reinforce their learning so both you and your dog will get the full benefit and enjoyment of their time with us. We can work together on which commands you would like to use, and if you have any behavioral concerns, please let me know! I'm pretty good at finding the root cause and setting up a plan to resolve it.

As some pets are rescued, adopted, or may have experienced past traumas, please let me know if they have any: * Special needs * Behavioral triggers * Anxiety * Sensory sensitivities. (i.e. Afraid of loud noises, etc.) * Specific human or other animal triggers (i.e. they don't like to be around big dogs, or people in hats) * Specific verbal triggers I would also LOVE to know of anything that helps them to be calm, joyful, and happy in the case any of these special moments do occur and they need soothing. For dogs, I'd like to know their pottying habits [such as if they pee and poop once or many times and how often they need a break] so I can make sure they are fully relieved by the time they are returned home. Lastly, I will need to know that your dog is safe to have around small children, as my child will always be with me. It is important that we all enjoy and have a lovely time together. ^_^ Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend!
A typical day
We are familiar with many dog runs and are happy to try any new ones if you prefer your dog to have doggy social time. We enjoy hiking, walking, and running along the Hudson River Greenway and throughout Central Park. If your dog is a high energy breed and would like to go for a run with us, we would be delighted to have them come along. We also love going to Fort Tryon Park occasionally as there is a very large dog run nearby. We would be happy to pack any toys or favorite balls you might want us to bring along for your dog to enjoy. In short, you know what makes your dog happiest and we are here to provide what you already know is best in the hours that you need it most. Cat Clients: We love playing with cats in any way they enjoy! Streamer toys, crinkle balls, feathers, and whatever else will make them happy! We also love hiding treats around the home for them to find throughout the day. Keeping them engaged and happy is our specialty.
